Very nice casual place. I really dont know what the others are talking about, i've been to Amalfis on multiple occasions and never had a problem. Food is good. Unbelievable pizza and the family is as friendly as ever, they treat you as if you were one of their own. A very welcoming place. They have a big bar, a bunch of tv's, a variety of food, and good service. Definitely worth trying.

Recently moved to the area and decided to try this place. I walked in and knew immediately that I should have kept driving up the road. But the waiter seemed nice and happy. Maybe the food will be a surprise. A NCAA basketball game was on, could the food be that bad.....Yes. Very small portions, misleading menu and high prices. The lettuce was wilted and brown, the dressing was 90% vinegar, the pasta sauce was watery, meatballs = 1 small plain meatball and shrimp = 2 small overcooked shrimp. Nothing like leaving an Italian resta, sorry bar, hungry and needing to drive up the street to find a McDonalds to clean the taste out of your mouth. If you are looking for a beer, a half decent pizza or some wings, this is probably your place.

This place is terrible. Has potential but boring food and menu and way overpriced. As if that isn't bad enough the managers are relatively you brothers who are rude and arrogant. They just don't get it. So many places in the area with good food, fair prices, and good service. They act like they are doing you a favor. Turn the lights out on people and stare at you until you leave. Where else would this happen? Lots of good people have left and you see them at other area restaurants -

WOW..this place is a ZERO..food is awful and overpriced, service is terrible and the owners act like your doing them a favor by serving you! i honestly dont know how they are still in business, whatta shame bc lawrenceville needs another good restaurant other than Acacia...do them a favor an go somewhere else...We live in North Lawrence and gave this place a try many times bc its close and convenient but the truth is they should sell the place to a real restauranteur !!! good Luck

October 17, 2010 - Amalfi's advertises their football television. Went in around mid-day on Sunday, and could not get the Eagles or Giants 1:00 game on. Bartendar tells us Amalfi's only has 3 boxes, so I would have to wait for someone to leave before he could put on the Eagles game on one of the 12+ televisions. What? I decided to be the one to leave.

If you want horrendous service and overpriced food that rivals canned Chef Boyardee, then this is the place for you! No way to justify $18 a pop for entrees of such haphazard quality. And the worst part was it took over an hour for the food to come. At least at say a Chucky Cheese, it is quick and you're getting what you pay for. It's a shame because seven or eight years ago this actually was a good restaurant. It's been remodeled into a jazzed up looking sports bar-type place. Have tried several Italian restaurants in the area, and this was the worst despite being one of the pricier ones.

We LOVE Amalfi's! Their pizza, beer selection, and martini's are amazing. The wait is never long and the service is always wonderful. The owner is always around and truly wants to get to know his client's. I would recommend it as a family spot and for a casual night out for some friends.

If you want a local casual place, this is it. I live in the Lawrenceville Main Street area and all those restaurants are BYOB. Amalfi's has a fully stocked bar and TVs in the bar. So if you are looking to hang out have a beer and watch a game this is a good local spot. It is a nice family restaurant too. I had the veal piccata and it was good. I am a pizza snob and the Brooklyn pizza is fabulous. This will become the place where I go for pizza.

Are you kidding me?? What a joke. Too noisy, the lights are way too bright, and the music sounds like recycled 80's elevator muzak. The food is horrible too. I ordered the chicken florentien (sp?) special, and it was wose than bland. The marina sauce thin and bland, in fact it was more like sauce flavored water. The dinner rolls are skimpy, and they only serve one per person. There are several entrance doors, and no matter which door you choose, there is no hostes to greet you . So the average patron will just stand there like an idiot while everyone stares. The restaurant layout is strange too. Kinda looks like a glorified diner posing as a pizza place.
