Flying Cloud Cafe

Description

Tucked away from the busy boardwalk, this little restaurant on the pier is a great place to relax with some delicious food. Seafood makes up most of the items on the menu. They also serve steak and chicken. They specialize in lobster, snapper soup, seafood, and steaks. The menu is seasonal and subject to change. At times, live music can be enjoyed on the deck.

After reading these reviews I had to write my own. For many reasons I feel I am an expert on service and food. I have eaten at the flying cloud many times, sometimes when the restaurant is busy the service is slow, that is to be expected. If you are not in a hurry and you want an enjoyable time having food and drinks with your friends, there is no better place than sitting on the deck.

Just spent 5 days in Atlantic City, and 2 of our dinners were at the Flying Cloud. We just love it here and come back every year! Great food, service, and you can't beat the sunset. It is our favorite place in AC.

had an awesome dinner at the Flying Cloud tonight. The meal started with ceviche served with warm chips, then progressed to the Blackened King cut Prime Rib topped with hollandaise and crabmeat. It was cooked perfect and was HUGE!! Finished off with a dessert of homemade German chocolate cake. Had to loosen the belt a couple notches!! Food and service were both great and it was a beautiful day so we enjoyed some after dinner cocktails on their deck and enjoyed the sunset.

Service was substandard. Food was cold when it should have been hot. Drinks were warn when they should have been cold. Thank goodness for the view, that's all I have to say. Ugh!!!

Not a pleasant experience
By ,
We had been there in the past a couple times for lunch and loved it. Forget about dinner! It started off with a basket of crackers instead of hot steamy bread - that was the first turn off. We ordered some drinks with an appetizer and we were finished with our drinks for quite some time but the waiter never came back to offer us another drink. We had to send someone over to get him. When the food finally arrived an hour later, the steak was cold and the lobster mushey. My husband's fish was on the dry side. The best part of dinner was potato and a beer. Definitely overpriced for the quality of food. Beautiful place to hang out for a sandwich and a beer but would not recommend dinner.

Went down hill
By ,
We went here before and quite enjoyed ourselves, so when we went back we thought we would have a good time. Our service was awful, out waiter wore his sunglasses right above his lip, what a wierd thing to do! He brought out my crabcakes cold, and forgot my friend's drink, not once, but twice. To top it all off, he overcharged us. We will not go back. What a disappointment, there was so much potential,
