Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort, Atlantic City

Looking to go down to the taj next week. I am glad I read these posts. Perhaps I may go to another place to stay. Good looking out you gamblers!!

I have been staying at and gambling at the Taj Mahal in Atlantic City for over 20 years now and must say that lately, the people working there are something to be desired. They are very rude and not willing to help in situations when you need them. I have had to wait over 1 hour when I ordered a drink on the casino floor on a day when it was not crowded at all. If you go to one of the bathrooms on the casino floor, most of the time they are not very clean even though there is a so called worked in them sitting around or taking to her friends. But the most unpleasant workers are the staff at THE PLATE. They are extremely rude, take forever to help you and when they do are not very nice. I used to enjoy the restaurant that was downstairs before the Plate came and it was such a different experience. The workers were very nice and helpful and it was a very enjoyable meal totally unlike your meal at the Plate. I have, at 2 different times, complained about the workers of the Plate with the managers duty, who also were very unhelpful. She just wrote me off. The last time I ate there and ordered the filet meal I waited 25 minutes for it to come out and them he forgot the mashed potatoes and gravy, and I asked for medium well meat with no pink and received a very rare piece of meat. I had to wait about 10 minutes before the guy came back and so he took the meat back, however, 15 minutes later I tracked him down and asked where my meat was and he said I thought you ate it!!!!!!!! So with that I had to wait another 15 or so minutes to actually get my meat. He never offered to heat up my potatoes or even bring more bread while I was waiting. I have to say The Plate if one of the worst restaurants in A/C not so much for the food, because it is good, but because of the workers there, on a high note there is one waitress that works there who is very good and nice, I don't know her name however, she is an older woman who, hands down, is better than every other person working there.

I am from Las Vegas and this place did not even come close. Not enough signs in the hotel but of course it is so you will wonder around and spend money in the slots while your looking for where you want to go. Buffet was closed the whole 2 days I was there. I was charged $24 for a 3 min. phone call, $16. for a movie. Never did find a place to use the $72 in comps (was told on my next visit... like that will ever happen). The room was ok, clean and cozy (only clean place in the hotel from what I saw). And to my amazement people were putting out cigarrettes on the carpet, when I said something to a security guard was told "oh well, it's fire proof"... this person never saw what happened at the MGM in Las Vegas many years ago. Club membership sucks simply because when you do earn points or comp. dollars there are very few places to use them if you find one at all. Very very poor showing and make no mistake, it will never be as good as Vegas.

MY friend and I stayed in the Chairman Towers (due to his Executive status) and I absolutely loved it! We has huge, very modern and slick room that was gorgeous facing the water. It was super clean with a huge bed, huge tv and super big bathroom. The shower was so intimate with glass doors and walls...so beautiful. I needed room service to bring us a sheet (I spilled my wine) and they had one to us in 5 minutes! the resturants to eat are all great and we had a ball. We come and stay at the Taj at least twice a month. Also, the casino crowd is perfect. Its mixed with all different ages and types that it makes for nothing but a fun time. Stay here, you'll love it!

Tom Jones is not only a Legend, he is still one of the Great Vocalist of all time and an Icon .... the only gripe I have is that people were walking around and talking/yappin at the Taj Mahal Tom Jones concert as if it were a county fair... not giving him his due and annoying other concert goers of enjoying a true great one... BARF ... I will look for him at a smaller venue, where I can truly enjoy this Great Talent and American Icon....

This place is absolutely elegant.I got to gamble on the slot machines and won money.The place is HUGE.I enjoyed walking the boardwalk and taking pictures.I would definitely go back again.

Rooms here are huge and comfortable. Lots of good restaurants to choose from, and it's right next door to the Hard Rock. If you like to party and you don't want to hang out with the Foo-foos that go to Borgata, I recommend this place.

Had to be the best dining experience of my life. Food 6 all different dishes, appetisers, a variety, all were EXCELLENT. Service, never had better. The casino is on the move, pumping millions into renevations and moving along quickly.

Casino was nice, roomy and bright. Rooms were ok but the shower head did not work correctly. The walls were stickey. The seats and the tables at all the Resturants were stickey. The restrooms were dirty. Food was terrible. I was unable to get into the two fine dining Resturants so I was very disappointed. We only had one good meal in Atantic City which was at the Palm in another Hotel. For the price that we paid for the room I could of went to Las Vegas and had a better experience. Also there are not any good signs stating where anything is located in the Casino and no advertisement of what is happening in the Hotel. They need better directions posted in the Hotel on how to find what you are looking for. If I ever came back to Atantic City I would stay at a different Hotel. This Hotel needs to be cleaned up and better taken care of. The slot machines and glass on the doors to go outside had finger prints. It just looked dirty. You would not find this in Vegas! This Hotel is lacking staff to take care of these things. My experience was not that great.

I travel to Trump atleast every 3 months. I travel from Indianapolis, with my sisters and we have a wonderful time. The food, service, room quality, and value is well worth it! I have been to concerts, the club, and all of the restaurants they are all wonderful! The table games, and slots are great and have nice pay offs! I hope you visit and have a great time!
