Dock's Oyster House, Atlantic City

i was unhappy with the service and the food. definetly an over-rated tourist place.

Our party of 10 went to Dock's for my wife's birthday. The atmosphere was perfect - casual elegance. The service was outstanding. We had everything from lamb to crabcakes to flounder. The food was sensational. A great place to go.

This is THE spot in AC. Best oysters, bar, seafood and service in the whole state. We go every night we're in AC. Forget the casinos....go to Vegas for that....go to AC for Docks!

My wife and I went to Dock's for her birthday this year and last, and have thoroughly enjoyed it each time. The service was efficient and attentive--this latest time our waitress (Kathleen) made excellent recommendations for drinks and entrees and took excellent care of us. I had the seared yellowfin tuna, served over spinach and with a wasabi cream sauce, that I am still thinking about 2 days later. My wife had the potato-crusted flounder over asparagus--a much plainer dish but still very tasty. The crab and corn chowder with jalapeno cream is not to be missed, nor is the key lime cheesecake for dessert. Points off, I'm afraid, for the cramped quarters (I don't like when my elbows can almost touch those of the person at the next table) but at least they've smartly lined the place with mirrors so you have something to do other than stare at the wall. Prices are high (dinner for 2--1 beer and 1 martini, 1 soup and 1 salad, 2 entrees, 2 desserts and 1 coffee--ran $105 plus tip) but for a special occasion (like a birthday jaunt to Atlantic City for a title fight) it's well worth the price.

I went to Docks with my husband and two friends for new year's eve dinner. The food was salty, fishy taste (not fresh) and we were rushed from the moment we sat down to the time we left. Even though we complained to the waiter the service continue to be horriable. I would never go back

Docks is a special experience.There are tons of flavor-of-the-moment places in the AC area, but Docks is an original. The food is very good, great bar, excellent service and convenient parking.
