Mack's Pizza, Wildwood

I just read Judith's review of Mack's Pizza this year. I agree with her whole heartedly. What did they do? We just stopped for a quick couple of slices, but it definately was not Mack's Pizza. I don't know what they changed ( think it's the sauce), but they need to change it back. This is the thing at shore that we look most forward to each year. Now what?

I have had Mack's pizza for what seems like forever. It is a major part of what "my Wildwood" is all about. I recently moved just a little closer, and am able to travel there more often,just for Macks! The last three trips however, were very disappointing. We chalked up the first "bad" pie to being a fluke. The second time...we got a little nervous, but the third time sealed our suspicions. I am still devasted. It felt like a death. I confronted "Miss T"......the icon of Macks. who has been there every time I was.An amazing woman. , I asked "what happened"?. She said it must have been something I ate before I got there. Her answer was so quick, that I knew the real deal. Yep, they changed the recipe, vendors, formulas, who knows what? She turned her head away from me...end of discussion! The season is over for now.. both locations boarded up. We will have to wait till Spring to find out if this is permanent. I will try the Roberts Ave.location next time. If that is also bad...I will hold a funeral for the Mack's we used to know ,and love,and looked forward to... THIS IS TRAGIC...........

Are the Boardwalk locations open on the weekends in October? I'm seriously thinking about making a 3 hr (each way) round trip drive for some this weekend but want to make sure they will be open.

I have been eating Mack's pizza in Wildwood for 50 years. The recipe never changes. It's the best pizza I've ever eaten and I've been all around the world. It's the only place where they put the cheese on first and then the sauce. I've seen a member of the family make a pizza every 19 seconds! If, God forbid, I wind up on death row, I want Mack's pizza as my last meal.

Best pizza on the island, hands down. I've been eating it for 20 years now and I've never been disappointed. Probably the best pizza I've ever had.

THIS IS AMAZING! GOOD FLAVOR AND TASTE. GOOD FORM OF CRUST AND JUST ENOUGH SAUCE TO SAVOR YOUR PIZZA TASTE. ITS DEFINATELY A PLACE TO GO EVEN IF YOU ARE SAVORING A SLICE OR A WHOLE PIE. YOU BETTER MAKE IT SIX I DONT THINK I'LL EIGHT!

Macks has been in Wildwood for a very long time. The pizza is delicious. It's tough to get a seat at any time though. But it is a must-have when visiting the Wildwoods.

This place has the best pizza in wildwood. expect a long wait on any summer night, and there's a good chance you wont get a place to sit. Totally worth it though. Mack's is a must-have when you are in Wildwood.

Mack's pizza brings back great memories of my summers spent at the shore with friends and family. Mack's makes Wildwood!

I have been a longtime fan of Mack's. My brothers and cousins worked with Duke years ago. We grew up on Mack's pizza, the best pizza ever! We would even come down the shore when we weren't vacationing just to get some pies to take home and freeze because we just couldn't get pizza at home as good as Mack's. Imagine my disappointment this year when the pizza was terrible! What did you do to it? Cheaper Cheese? I now go to Sam's. Please bring back my old Mack's pizza. I will give you one more chance before I switch to Sam's for good. Ouf friends and family have all noticed the difference also. Everyone was talking about it this year. My vacation wasn't the same. You ruined it. Mack's was as important as the beach and boardwalk. Until you bring back the old Mack's pizza, I will continue to take my business to Sam's.
