Description

Copper Fish on Broadway has earned a lot of accolades for its culinary fare making it synonymous with a great dining experience. The restaurant serves delicious treats which remain forever etched in the memory. The intimate venue is a splendid place for a romantic date or a cozy meal. The scallops and steaks are worth a try, so also the Chilean Sea Bass. There is an outdoor patio too for privacy. The restaurant is most famous for its seafood preparations, though the desserts are not far behind. Enjoy the helpful service of the cheerful staff who happily attend to the guests.

My husband and I dined with the wonderful folks at Copper Fish on Broadway for our one year wedding anniversary, it also happened to be their one year anniversary on Broadway, as Sarah, our server, explained which I thought made the evening more special. We dine in Cape May on a regular basis and finally were able to get a reservation! And it was worth it in every possible way. The menu was fun, the service was exceptional and the food IS 5 STARS! Those who have posted negative reviews couldn't be more wrong-

3 yrs ago we tried to get into the previous location but they were always booked. So on Valentines Day 2009 we made reservations. When we arrived we were initially disapponted only because of the decor. But after our meal, all we could say was wow, and we couldn't wait to come back. We did go back a couple of times and for a demo as well. But in 2010 we were planning our wedding so we didn't have time to drive the 150 miles roundtrip for dinner. So last weekend we called and made a reservation for dinner on Sat night. The new restaurant location is so awesome! Its a very nice place and a perfect match for Chef Geoff's great cuisine. Still some familiar faces there too. Everything we had was over the top. I had the pan seared tuna and my husband the lamb chops. Honestly, we can't wait to go back, and will at least once a month. There is always enough to eat and we are full when we leave. We love the freshness of the food and don't mind when something runs out knowing everything is bought fresh. Congrats Geoff on the new place! As with any new restaurant, it takes time to work out the kinks. We would highly recommend that anyone reading this, try out this restaurant and form your own opinion of it and the very talented Chef Geoff.

Just visited the Copper Fish on Broadway-the new location where Chef Geoff is and WOW!!!!!!!! What a difference a location makes! Ample parking, beautiful restaurant inside and out! Service was wonderful-Sarah was a doll and very knowledgable about the new menu-some old favorites of the old and spectacular new ones. I cant describe how spectacular everything is-WOW WOW WOW!!Best place in Cape May-if not Jersey. The chef should expand to NY & Philly! Love the menu, some changes were made verbally to us on the menu for substituting a fish, but then again it DOES read on the menu that it depends on availability! I think that's says a lot for freshness of product. Geoff came out and spoke with us, told us of the transition and well worth the hour drive every week!

Visited in a group of 4 adults and two pre-teens and ended up with a total bill including tip of $500.00 Yes, the Big Apple doesn't have anything on quaint Cape May. So? How was the food? Well, one man's opinion, vs. what the same group had for $200 two nights previous it was a 2 vs. a 10. Seemed like an extremely limited and to use the words of another reviewer, pretentious menu. I will say the atmosphere and dinner music from a great jazz duo was extremely nice and I can't fault the service but the overall impression I got was that it just wasn't worth the price. I would suggest that unless you're extremely wealthy stay away because the best they have won't offset the agida you're going to leave with.

Recently dined at the Copper Fish, we were a party of three and everyone enjoyed their meal. The menu offered a large variety of options, and we will definitely return soon. The Copper Fish is a must try in Cape May.

It's truly a diamond in the ruff. The exterior of the building looks like a shack, but the interior is elegant and the food in simply outstanding. We were told the menu changes with the freshness of the seasons foods, so call if you are in the mood for something special. I'm not sure if this happens every Friday, but they had a guitar player, singer who was really good. We truly enjoyed everything about Copper Fish, great food even the chairs we very comfortable and it's a BYOB what can be better. It is true you do have to ask for bread and I questioned the Chief about that, he said that since he started this he doesn't waste as much bread as he did before. So just ask for bread if you want it and enjoy a night out Copper fish style. Hope you love it as much as we did!

My wife and I visit Cape May ever summer we haven't been to the Copperfish since 2005. We recently decided to go back to satisfy our seafood craving this summer. Mission accomplished the food was great, service a plus and the chef even took time come out to greet us. They made the experience feel personal and fun. We made a reservation to go back with friends of ours. We did find out that since 2007 there has been a new owner and chef, I have to say keep up the good work. Best of luck and to much successful.

My friends and I have been on a crab cake adventure this summer. We have been traveling down the east coast of the US with our boats. Last night we stopped at the Copper Fish in Cape May and had the best crab cakes by far. Actually all the food was outstanding and we had the best time there.

From Great to Mediocre

We first went to Copper Fish in July of 2006 and it was great in every way; food, service, etc. Because of this, we were very excited to return in August of this year only to be disappointed by a serious decline in the quality of food. The service was still good, but we left feeling that there was no reason to ever return. I have been told that there was a change of ownership and chef between our visits and that is probably the reason for the steep declinein quality, which is unfortunate.
