Cucina Rosa, Cape May

I found Cucina Rosa on the internet while looking for a new, "local" restaurant. I went there for the first time in the Summer of 2007 and have been back several times. I have never been disappointed. Each time there, I had a true dining experience from the appetizer to after-dinner coffee (I'm affraid to eat the dessert, for fear I'll love it). How many stars am I allowed to give?

Nice traditional Italian meals at reasonable prices. Convenient setting right on the Washington St Mall.

Best Italian restaurant in Cape May by far! The stuffed bread appetizer (listed as a daily special but available every day for the last 10 years) is awesome, as are both the Lamb and Pork Chops. My girl is in love with the Chicken Oreganata and the desserts are good too...especially the Tartufo. Location is awesome if you sit outside on the Mall, and the servers are always cool....seem like locals rather than the seasonal "imports" lol :-) Overall HIGHLY recommended as one of the better, yet reasonably priced, restaurants in Cape May :-)

A surprise gem of a restaurant right at the beginning/end of the pedestrian mall. While the crowds may be buzzing around outside the vibe inside is of fine food and a quiet dining experience. Not your typical red sauce italian eatery. Iinnovative preparations and pleasant ambiance make this a destination eatery no matter what time of year. The hostess and wait staff are friendly and accommodating.

Nice inexpensive Italian at the end of Washington. Perfect restaurant for the newby to Cape May. One of the best on the mall.

the only downside is BYO Alcohol. just as good Italian food as NYC or Philly

Solid Italian food at good prices.

My favorite Cape May restaurant. Mussels were a special on the menu for years until they finally made them a menu staple - red or white sauce equally delicious. The upstairs dining is much more comfortable, especially with the huge parties we usually bring there. Gorgonzola stuffed filet mignon - fabulous. Servers are very attentive.

This is another good BYOB at the shore. Located at the end of the mall. BYOB seems to keep the prices a little lower so it's reasonable. What more could you ask for -- good food and reasonable prices. This one is good for the whole family, too.

We never take a trip to Cape May without having dinner at Cucina Rosa. From the bread and hot peppers to the fabulous entres to the impeccable desserts, you will be more than satisfied. It's BYO, though they do serve local wines now. I love the Mediterranean Shrimp. My husband always gets the Chicken Portofino. An upscale dining experience in a cozy unpretentious atmosphere.
