Nice shore restaurant. Menu has many choices, not just Italian food. Quality is consistent and is the service.

Via Mare is a pleasant surprise. This charming Italian corner restaurant in Avalon is a family run success for over two decades with a core menu of pasta, veal, and seafood. The tomato sauces are fresh, as if only the freshest New Jersey tomatoes passed through the food mill. Our waiter, Angelo and son of the owner, ended our meal by sharing how make the delicate oil-based salad dressing. And, dont forget to bring a bottle of your favorite wine!

Via Mare is a beautiful restaurant with a great atmosphere and friendly service who are also very fast from my experience. The food was delicious and it did not put a huge dent in my wallet. I would highly recommend this place for fans of authentic Italian food.
