Tortilla Flats, Avalon

I currently live in California (and I have had the most authentic Mexican food you can get in the States) and visited Avalon/Stone Harbor for vacation, went to Tortilla Flats and will never go again. Just a short list: 1. The salsa is from a store bought jar (Chi Chi's most likely) 2. Chips are definitely from a bag and just heated up in the microwave 3. Rice was rice a roni (or something similar) Basically nothing is made fresh from what I could tell. This might pass for Mexican food in Philadelphia/New Jersey but anyone who has ever had authentic Mexican food will be thoroughly disappointed.

BEST RESTAURANT AT THE SHORE!!!! Great food, service and atmosphere! My family and I love this place! Huge portions! Great margaritas, salsa and chips. I don't think this place can get any better. 100000000 times better then that dump Real Enchilada. I've been going to the Flats forever! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Tortilla Flats is out of this world. The Shrimp Tortilla Soup is so, so good. We make sure we visit this restaurant AT LEAST once a season if not more. Absolutely 5 stars.

I live in New York and go down to Avalon for a week every summer. This is truly fantastic Mexican food. Bring your own tequila, get some of the grilled corn (it is one of the best I've ever had) and have a great time. So much food for the price! You'll be bringing home lunch for tomorrow.

very disappointing. Has the look of a mexican restaurant but lacked in authenticity. Seating is tight.

we come to sea isle every year for a week---and we always have Tortilla Flats on our list. Sometimes we go more than once in one week --very kid friendly-our girls love it here--nice ambiance.

After visiting Avalon for over 7 years, we probably take out from here about 3-4 times a season. Not once have I had a bad meal. Excellent. Try the National Dish of Mexico. Excellent.!
