We would like to give a special THANK YOU to everyone at Tarantella s for making my parents 80th birthday a success. The food, service and staff are second to none. The guests were so impressed with the food. If you are planning a party or a night out with friends, you will not be disappointed.
I finally got to eat at Tarantella s and it was really enjoyable. The atmosphere and the food was delicious. I had the gnocchi with the Putanesca sauce. What a delight. I will have to dine there again soon.Frank, Forest Hills.
We used to love having our dinner events at this establishment, but over the past year they have lost there focus in creating a pleasant dinning experience. Our last event had everyone so crowded into a long table that they had trouble finding room on the table when they brought out the food.
They appear to be more focused on the number of customers they can cram into their establishment that dining there isn't enjoyable any more.
Food is still good.
I have heard many things about Tarantellas and most of them were good reviews. We just ate there last week with friends and we all seemed to enjoy our food. My one complaint is that they crowd you in. I could not hear what my friend across the table was saying but could hear what the woman at the next table was. This was very disappointing to me. If the restaurant is good enough people will wait to be seated so you could space the tables further apart. For this reason I do not think I would not eat there in the near furture
Tarantella Restaurant offers an unbelievable great value for your money, especially in today’s difficult economic times. All of our succulent meals were clearly prepared using top quality fresh ingredients with more to eat in one sitting. Being new to the area from Boston, and still most astonishing to me, was without hesitation that Tarantella Restaurant and Femmina Italian Grill (owned by the same family) were both recommended to me by many people as the best Italian restaurants in the South Jersey. My first visit to Tarantella on Friday night 100% supported this bold claim. The meal, service, staff, and atmosphere were especially pleasant. The appetizers were great and our party of 6 each ordered a different entrée. Every individual was totally satisfied. After reading all of the reviews, I agree with all of the positive comments while those few negative comments simply make no sense. I will again dine at Tarantella Restaurant and also look forward to trying Femmina Italian Grill. With so many choices, I’m guaranteed a great value for my money at Tarantella Restaurant.
Went to restaurant last night (10-19-09) with my son who was just home from Iraq celebrating with 5 other family members. Dinner was great. Asked to have all food wraped to take home and when my daughter reheated it the next day it was realized there was NO chicken in leftover container. I believe that this was no mistake. It was sooo obvious that the chicken was taken or reused. There was 2 large pieces of chicken served to her and she never touch the one large piece and cut up the other piece but hardly ate any. I called the restaurant to complain and the manager could only disagree with me. I will never eat there again and for those that take leftovers home, I suggest you check the container before leaving just in case there was another case of the mysterious missing meat. Those that eat there please check to see if it looks like day old or hours old food your eating. It may be someone's leftovers!!!!
I almost want to give it 5 stars because it is still better than any restaurant around, but I agree with those who have said it is not what it used to be. I recently have stopped going, but i order food to go. Some days i get portions large enough to last me 2 full days and some days i can finish the whole thing. The pizza was incredible on a Saturday night. So we ordered it again during the week on a night when it was discounted and the quality was majorly discounted. There was half the cheese of the previous week. I am now type 1 diabetic and dont go that often because Italian food has so many carbs. They will make whole wheat if i ask. This is my favorite place to eat, I just hate not knowing what I am going to get.
The best Italian restaurant in South Jersey! The portions are enormous and you get two meals for the price of one(which is very reasonable). Sal and the staff are the nicest people and they make you feel at home when dining there. Extra friendly. Its worth for you to try it at least once.
