Overall very disappointed, and you know it’s bad when we’ve taken the time to tell how bad it was. There were only three tables occupied in the whole restaurant and the service was very slow. The bread in the basket looked like it wasn’t baked, it was cold and doughy. It took over 20 minutes for salad and appetizer to be served. The fried mozzarella was the only redeeming factor of this meal (and it’s kind of hard to mess those up). The eggplant rollatini was almost inedible. It was gummy and unflavored. The Cavatelli Carini was served with a small amount of crumbled sausage in a soupy chicken stock flavored sauce (was supposed to have been white wine sauce). The anticipated “large Italian portions” were nonexistent and even if they were, we wouldn’t have eaten it. It’s unfortunate because we’ve lived near the restaurant for 20 years and this is the first and last time we will go. Poor Service, Poor food. Don’t go here.
I order Crab ravoli for take out. The dish had absolutly no flavor. The asparagus in the dish was so small I had to searh for them. What a shame walking in it seems like a really nice place. Not a lot of care was taken in creating the dish. It could have been great. total bill $17.05 dinner also included rolls which were very good and soup or salad. I choose crab minstrone which was better that the main course. I hope the owner sees this review and re-creates this dish. I could have had a better dinner at a pizzeria.
I agree with the negative reviews on here. I am also amazed that someone who didnt like this restaurant was attacked for his point of view. I thought this was a free society.
This is a very average, bland restaurant. Also, no atmosphere. Nothing special about this place. Not worth the trip.
Excellent cozy restaurant. We eat there about once a month and the
food, service, atmostphere is always great and consistent. Prices are
reasonable (BYOB) for the area. BTW I'm not related to the chef/owners (previous post)!
Part of the kitchen is in plain sight from the waiting area. I was waiting to be seated when I saw the chef drop a potato, pick it up off of the floor and and then put it back on the grill or cooking surface. I left so I don't have a food review.
nothing was good about this place. the service was bad, they messed up the orders and the food was very sub par. Red sauce tasted like chef boy r dee, spaghetti o's type stuff. very unfriendly and cold atmosphere.
either it was a bad night or the other people writing reviews on here are all relatives of the owner.
