Uncle Will's Pancake House, Beach Haven

Not overly impressed. Very pricey for breakfast and make sure to have cash on hand as no credit cards. Pancakes are good but I'd prefer the menu and food of the Chegg a block up.

The first time I ever went to Uncle Will's Pancake House I had TREMENDOUS FOOD!!!!!! Everything on the menu is to die for even though the prices are a little pricy. What makes up for the prices are the servings,they're HUGE, I ate there for brunch one time and by the time dinner came around I still wasn't that hungry. The service can be a little slow at times but that's only because eveyone's constantly busy with waiting on customers. Sometimes the line even goes out side. I would recommend this place to ANYONE basically, even the vegetarians! (they have scrumptious omelets!) Have Fun!!!!!!!!! :D

Recently at LBI for the Chowderfest and had breakfast at Uncle Will's for the 1st time. We had a ten minute wait (not bad at all) so I shopped in the store next door. I purchased 2 starfish for my children. Only $3 but it was the thought. Of course we left the restaurant, were 2 blocks away and the children had forgot their starfish. Went back to retrieve them and was told in a nasty way we cleared that table and every thing was thrown away. Only 2 blocks away? A very pleasant experience soon made me lose my appetite for ever going back to Uncle Will's. Shame it was a nice place with good food.

Huh... I suspect the bad reviews come from those who aren't true islanders at heart. Uncle Will's is the BEST breakfast place on LBI. My fiance and I look forward to it every time we hit the island. The service is lightening fast, the staff is friendly, the atmosphere is cozy and the food is great!

Perhaps as a breakfast place okay, but our second year ther for New Year's Eve evening meal was unlike the first year. THis year the food was awful. It was almost like they were unprepared for us...we had reservations for 12 people well in advance. Never to return for any meal.

While the food was very delicious, the breakfast that I had with my family on a recent trip was dissapointing for several reasons. I ordered pigs in a blanket, which, according to the menu was sausage links wrapped in buttermilk pancakes. I expected A sausage link wrapped in A buttermilk pancake. Instead, as if it were 'hidden' and I wouldn't notice, the dish contained 2 sausage links, sliced in half the long way, wrapped in 4 buttermilk pancakes. I felt cheated; it wasn't what was expected at all. It was a cheap way to cut corners and, anyone who likes to cut into a just-cooked sausage link and enjoy the release of delicous juices (as far as I'm concerned, the real reason to eat link sausage over patties) will miss that experience with this. Also, my husband's coffee cup was chipped in two places. When I mentioned it, our server picked it up and poured him a cup of coffee in the chipped cup, which I could not believe I was watching. The chipped cup should have been taken out of circulation long ago! The third thing I noticed was that the girls who were serving were too involved in their personal lives to be attentive. One was sitting down with friends who were eating there, getting up occasionally to 'waitress', and two others were intently conversing across the back of the dining room, ignoring customers. One girl, however, was running around at a fast pace, doing what looked like all of the work, although it was just prep work. I think some training or re-training is in order. True, we ate there slightly off season, but that's no excuse to slacken up on the customer service. Uncle Wills is a pretty expensive breakfast, which I didn't mind (it's LBI - everythings costly) but I expected the service to match.

Uncle Wills has the best breakfast on the south end of long beach island. They have amazing stuffed french toast that i highly reccommend. Its located right on the blvd and its a nice stop on the way down to the beach in the morning.

Uncle Will's serves the BEST PANCAKES EVER. They are the same size as the huge plate, so fluffy and so delicious. They really are the best pancakes on the island, if not the best pancakes in NJ. Prices are comparable to everywhere else on the island.

We can highly recommend Uncle Will's for DINNER! It was a very relaxing dinner with fabulous food, thank you Linda for the great service! VERY tasty entrees...we enjoyed the Lobster Cakes and Mahi Mahi! The veggies were perfectly prepared ala dente, we were WOWED!!! Thank you again...we will be back!!!
