We got married on October 20th and were lucky to have a beautiful 70 degree day on our wedding. We got married outside by the lake and it was gorgeous. The food and the staff was incredible. I did not hear any negative feedback at all from our guests. Everyone raved about the food and the service. Amy Floss was great and responded to my questions promptly and Jim was great the day of the wedding. I did not have to worry about ANYTHING. We also hired Bruce Foster to play keyboard during our ceremony and during our cocktail hour. He was wonderful! I would highly recommend The Mill for your wedding!
was there for new years celabration 2012in ther large room up stairs. The worst dinning experience that I ever encountered. They where still serving dinner at 10.45.PM The food was servered cold and very distasteful, the deserts were still frozen, no not icecream but cheese cake etc. Did not recieve any cocktailes for the first hour, I believe this affair was ran by some one who dosenot know anything about reastuarnt bussiness, how ever if they do shame on them for such a horrible party. over all over priced under staff no knowldge, never to return.
My husband and I had our reception at the Mill last summer and we cannot say enough good things about our experience. When we initially began the customary newly engaged tours of the various venues in the area, we started to become discouraged as we could not find a place that we both loved. A place where we could see ourselves being introduced for the 1st time, as well as a place where our family and friends could have the time of their lives. It actually came to a point when we considered looking out of state. However, we eventually stumbled upon the Mill and within minutes of taking the tour we had no question that we found the perfect place for our reception. We are not sure if it was the reception room with the wonderful view of the old mill, the great menu or the beautiful garden outside for pictures, but it felt like the Mill had exactly what we wanted.
When it came to our actually wedding day, the Mill did not disapoint. The food was great, their was a private champagne celebration ready for us and our bridal party as soon as we arrived and our pictures in the garden turned out great. Most importantly though, with the craziness of a wedding day, the Mill made sure there was always an employee within a stone's throw to makre sure we were happy. Whether it was getting us refills of drinks, making sure we had enough to eat or helping set up the equipment for our photo mantage, we could not have asked for more. The best compliment we can give is that if we had to do it all over again, there is not doubt that we would still choose the Mill.
I got married at The Mill this past June 24th. Overall, everything was amazing... way better than I pictured and expected actually. I was pretty nervous to book the mill because I rely heavily on reviews I've read online and they were so mixed. Based on what others have said in the past, I think they may have been having a hard time finding really great employees, which probably affected earlier reviews. But I know there have been changes made and now I really think they've got it all together... I had a great experience with everyone I dealt with, mostly Amy Floss who was absolutely awesome, and then Kelly and Rita (?) the day of who were just as nice and accomodating. The ceremony area is beautiful but we had rain and I (and my guests) were soo happy with the indoor plan... those huge windows make for a gorgeous view and the transition from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception went so smoothly. Food was great and they really did a great job accommodating several of our guests' food allergies/restrictions (gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian, vegan). If I had to complain about something it's that they don't have an indoor spot for pictures in the event of rain... we literally had to take most of our group pictures on the front porch. BUT... that's probably an issue you'd run into anywhere else. Guests have said nothing but nice things, and I know no one would say anything negative to me BUT people really went out of their way to contact me afterwards to tell me how wonderful it was. One of my guests went to another wedding the next night and commented on how much better our entire night was all-around... and we spent half of what the other bride did! I can go on and on about details regarding the experiences and accomdations that were made leading up to our wedding day and of course the day of, but I'm running out of space :-) Feel free to shoot me an email with questions... I know I was dying for details and had alot of questions when I was looking to book our venue. firstname.lastname@example.org
I had a great wedding here on 10/10/10! My ceremony was outside and we had cocktail hour and the reception upstairs in the waterview room. Everything was beautiful-the lake, landscaping and the reception all turned out spectacular. Everybody in my husband's family keeps telling me that we set a new standard for weddings in their family. The food was excellent and there was a lot of it for our Sunday brunch wedding. The day of coordinator, Celine was very helpful and made sure that things ran smoothly for that day. SaraRose helped us with details before the day (upgrading to colored napkins, etc.).
I know my husband and I will be back to eat at the restaurant part of The Mill and to reminisce about our wonderful wedding.
My wedding at The Mill was absolutely lovely and I thank the entire team for all of their help! Overall our experience was top notch. We have already been back to The Mill for lunch since we have been home for our honeymoon!
We recently celebrated my husband's birthday at The Mill, and since he is a seafood lover, I thought the Seafood Buffet would be a great choice - and it was! We met friends from North Jersey and enjoyed a fabulous evening. We watched the sun set over the lake and my husband and our friends raved about the buffet. My husband went so far as to say it was the best seafood buffet he has ever experienced! Everything was fresh and there was an abundance of choices. They each also ordered the lobster tail, which was cooked to perfection! I decided to order off the Classic Combinations menu and was extremely pleased with my dinner. My ceasar salad was served in an edible parmesan cheese basket (delicious!), my steak was cooked perfectly, and the red velvet cupcake - OMG! - the best ever!!! It arrived with a birthday candle for my husband, and we all shared in a most pleasant evening with great friends, great atmosphere, great service, fantastic food!
