El Meson Cafe is an amazing place. For the people who love Mexican food, this is the right place. I have been all over the place looking for a good Mexican food and could never find it. When I found El Meson I was the happiest person. Every meal you get there, you would love it; Enshiladas, Quesadillas, Burritos, Chimichangas! There to die for. The serive is excelent. I feel like this place as my own home. I love the variety of slasas they have there. Especially the Ranchera Cheese sauce. The specials on the weekends is worth the waight. Try it!

I have had mostly positive experiences here. It's a small place with a nice atmosphere and the food is good if you enjoy Americanized Mexican food. We have always had a nice time here except for one occasion, but it happens.

Cute place for friends to meet - I love the casual atmosphere of the resturant and the food is ¡estupendo! So grab a few friends, BYOB and have a great time. Happy Holidays

Very Expensive for a Mexican place..Bad service..I will never go back..Try Jose Tejas, Iselin NJ cheap, very good food...

We eat here often. We have never been disapointed. We also go to Juanitos and they are both similar in quality. It's a must try if your into Mexican!

Real good choice for Mexican food and the prices are reasonable. There is also the option of eating outside in the summer. Take advantage of the store for Mexican groceries.

El Meson 40 West Main St. Freehold, NJ 07728 (732)308-9494 - If you like Mexican food you'll LOVE El Meson. Starting with the Chips & Salsa - Homemade Chips & FRESH Salsa (not too HOT - Just right!!) with either your own Spirits, 'Al Fresca'(FRESH Brewed) Iced Tea, or a Mexican soda or juice. You'll realize what lies ahead will be very pleasing to your tastebuds. They have 5 different sauces to top your entree (RANCHERO-VERY Mild, SALSA VERDE-a green spicy-sweet sauce, ARBOL-a spicy-hot brown sauce and 2 others that fit in between each of these). You can have tacos, enchilladas, burritos, fajitas, fresh fish, lamb, chorizo (spicy Mexican sausage) or one the SPECIALS (Wed - Sun). They also have a sister restaurant in Hamilton Square, NJ on Route 33 called 'Chapala'.
