Friendly's Ice Cream Shop, Fair Lawn

We had a wonderful experience during our visit on Friday night. It was busy, but not packed. We were greeted at the door by a very, very pleasant woman. Our waitress was equally as kind. Although busy, the place was neat and clean, including the bathrooms. The food was good, it's Friendly's, not high end cuisine, but it was hot, fast and nicely presented. Before desert the nice woman who met us at the door brought the kids all balloons. Dessert was YUMMY as always! We had a very pleasant experience!

We went there Saturday,although the restaurant wasn't full,the food took a long time to come.Also my kids was craving for a desert,the icecream came melted and looks like we ordered a smoothie instead of an icecream.Also the cleanliness of the restaurant is very poor.There were papers,and candies under the table.My niece ordered a large soda,they gave her a kid's soda because they were out of big glass..? I would never go to the Fairlawn branch although I've been to other Friendlys restaurant in other state,the one in Fairlawn is very bad.

I went there on Monday night with my husband,daughter and a friend and I have to say the service was just awful.It took someone 20 minutes to take our order.There was nobody there.Buissness was slow. The waitress who was supposed to take our order ignored us and proceeded to vacuum around us while we were eating.As frequent customers of the Friendly's in Elmwood Park,we were dissapointed and aggravated.I had been a resturant manager for 17 years,and I know what the buissness is all about.you have your share of good and bad days,but your customers needs should never be ignored.We will never go to Fairlawn again.

NJ believes gloves give workers a false sense of security. Proper and frequent handwashing has been preferred.
