Went to Dolce for a nice evening with my brother and nephew to celebrate his graduation. Everything was alright as far as the crowd that was there, the cover charge was not ridiculous, and even the drink prices were comparable to most clubs in NJ and NY. The only problem I had was with the obnoxious and drunk owner/manager of Dolce. He was partying harder than his patrons and got really obnoxious to me and several others including employees. I am rating this place 2 star because of the owner, mediocre DJ. This place has a lot of potential, but not under this current ownership. I usually do not write reviews, but felt compelled after the horrible experience with this owner...
I go to Dolce often and have a good time everytime i go. It is not small and actually have two full size rooms where u can drink, dance , and enjoy yourself. I have never had a problem w/ the area .. the best time to go is on a Thursday :) 0 and the wings are to die for
This is not a safe place for women. Neighborhood is horrible. Bartenders are rude.Prices are ridiculous. Place is small. LOOKS LIKE A LOT OF UNDERAGE KIDS GO THERE.. Would definitely go to another lounge.
Dolce Lounge is a very nice, trendy and beautifull place to go, however, their service does not match the athmosphere. Their prices are extremely high, and the employees charge different prices through out the night. After ordering a mixed drink that cost $9, i was astonished that the drink didn't have the proper amount of liquor on it, it tasted unbalanced. After telling the server that my drink was too weak, the server told me abnoxiously that if i wanted more liquor i would have to pay an extra $5, I then proceeded to order a straight shot unstead, and was charged $9 for it, which i think is absurd, since the mixed drinks are $9 as well.
I had a pretty good time here .. but it is very expensive...we came and had dinner before it got busy and everything was so expensive...they neeed to realize they are not in new york..but in elizabeth, nj
