Although Bragman's neighborhood has taken on a gritty edge, the house-cured pastrami, corned beef, and chopped liver are still just as warm and delicious as in decades prior. Try a Jack's Special sandwich sliced fatty (read: extra flavorful) corned beef, sweet chopped liver, Russian dressing, and crispy cole slaw on crusty, Pechter Rye Bread. At $6 the prices haven't changed with the times. The mother and son ownership team casts a watchful eye over every single sandwich here. Pickles are half-sour, massive sloppy Joes--too big for just one person--a masterpiece of savory, smoked meats. Save room for dessert.
