went there last week and the food is sooooo good, huge portions, no kidding I still have left overs in my fridge. The only thing I did not like is the bread before the meal is was hard and cold. Please do not leave without getting dessert (yummy). I will be going back there at the end of this month to take some out of town guests.
The food was Amazing guys...WOW. But the service is your greatest asset; I was assisted by a very friendly lady named Soraia. She was wonderful. Everybody is so friendly and willing to help. A great place to eat.
The best rodizio in Newark ( Ironbound ) for sure! Great service! Great food! Nice people smiling all the time and always checking your table ready to serve you!
Brasilia will always be my first option to eat the best brazilian food!
My new favorite restaurant. The rodizio is amazing, perfectly seasoned. There is a huge salad bar. Best sangria I have ever had. I have only been there on the weekend, so I don't know what its like during the week.
While the food was ok, the restaurant was VERY dirty. To the tune of no soap in the bathroom, even though I asked for it 3 times during the stay. The place was in disarray and dirty. I would not go back.
I've been going to Brazlia Grill for over 12 years...Me, my husband and family members go every week. The staff is always friendly and the owners are always there to make sure everyone is happy. THe food is a 10+ and the dessert is to die for! IT's a real treat...JUST GET UP and GO! I hope to see you there - dont miss out on this.
If you think NYC has the best churrascaria, then you haven't been to Newark's Brazilia Grill yet. The offspring of Brazilia, the original restaurant on Ferry Street, the Grill is a better realization of the ideal: a downstairs hall for parties, an upstairs main dining hall with a huge buffet in the center, a stage for small live music on weekends, a huge screen for projected futebol telecats from Brasil, and a separate bar for more casual dining. As fine as that all may be, you come here for the food.
A quick word: I haven't eaten anything bad off the menu, but I'm going to just describe their rodizio for you. All the meats are good, but be picky if you don't want to eat a chicken leg or slice of roast beef. It's okay to hold out for the coracao de frango or salty skirt steak. Sometimes they'll bring out sausage *and* linguica; sometimes the turkey wrapped in bacon. Hang tough, sample what you like, and see if you can handle more than one complete round.
Order gurana as your bevergae and show a little insider smarts; ask for Chopps and really show off. First timers should try a caipirinha and then try pronouncing the word after drinking one.
Dead nights are Tuesdays and Wednesdays, meaning the rodizio has less selection than the weekends. Also, Brazilians and Portuguese eat later, so a 6pm dinner will get you better seating than 9pm. And you won't be rushed out the door either; it can take an hour to get the check sometimes, and you'll likely need to time to digest your meal (happily).
Parking is usually pretty good. Do not park on the street unless you can jump the curb to escape; double- and triple-parking is an art form in the Ironbound.
If a friend suggests this joint, go. A tour guide makes it even more fun. If you want to give it a shot yourself, go for it. Your dinner companions will probably sing your praises for days to come.
