Asaginni DE Roma You may not be certain you’re in the right place as there’s barely a sign to identify you're in the right place. But they don’t need to put up high-wattage signs to advertise … the food is the draw that keeps people coming back and fresh faces filling the place to experience what all the buzz is about. Decidedly simple decor doesn’t overpower the room, but there’s enough to know you’re in for an Italian influenced meal along with the smells from the kitchen wafting through the space. With a bar up-front and dining in the rear, the separation of the two rooms never interfere with each other. The room is always lively and the owners can always be found checking on guests first hand. Live entertainment is sprinkled through the week and weekend, always adding to the atmosphere of the room. The menu is diverse enough for all palate’s, yet doesn’t drone on for pages and pages. The wine has something for everyone, but brush up on your Italian favorites as there are some surprising vintages and labels to be found here if you know what to look for. Finally the food itself. From generous appetizers, appropriately dressed salads, and back to generous dinner portions, no one could ever leave here unsatisfied (or hungry!). Last time we were here, they had opened up the second floor and given us a tour. The room is perfect for large corporate affairs or parties of any size. This is a favorite for great food at a good price. Entertaining guests or family, it’s always one of my first picks. Gregory

What a place, the food here is extraordinary every plate tastes awazing. Along with the live enterainment, this place tops any other italian restaurant in newark.

What an experience! The food is amazing by itself. Add the service, the live music, the negroni's!! Perfecto!! Absolutely love this place and so will you! Who knew? In Newark?? And I live in Manhattan! (Boyfriend lives in Newark and he found this place! XO to him!)
