Welcome to Chateau of Spain! One of the best Spanish restaurants in Newark NJ not only serves a great selection of traditional Spanish specialties, there is so much more! Our dining room serves both classic Spanish and Portuguese cuisine in an upscale atmosphere. If you're in the mood for lighter fare we serve a variety of great American classics in our casual bistro bar. We are one of the few restaurants located near the Prudential Center in Newark NJ. If you're going to see events include the Chateau of Spain. We recently celebrated my boyfriend's 40th birthday at Chateau of Spain(Nov 14, 2009) with friends and family. At first by boyfriend was a bit skeptical. But we were pleasantly surprised. The setting was elegant, ambiance was good and the food even better. We did a buffet and still had a lot of food to go. The banquet supervisor(sorry I forgot his name) was wonderful and very accommodating. We're definitely going back there and we've been telling everybody about our positive experience there. Keep up the good work guys!

Comfortable atmosphere,good helping of food on the dishes(I love the chops and picadinos meals!****)A cozy small bar area,romantic dining on the 2nd floor within a quaint 1890 Federal period office building.Parking a pain thought(Newark City Hall,Police HQ,US Post Office & Federal Building surround it.)As with any pro/con deal,you get what you paid for at a reasonable pre-recessions economy prices-eh! its ok!

Cool Spot!

Chateau of Spain was a real cool laid back place. Very good food and drinks. Nice place to kick back. I am sure my boyfriend and i will go back one day.

This is another spot that has good food and drinks and excellent service. If you ever go there ask for manny he makes a great between the sheets.

if u want to be among a descent crown in the newark area this is the spot...a mix of young urban professional...thurdsay through sunday r the right nights to mix and mingle
