This place has the work customer service ever a bunch of rude ugly fat pan face people. They say they open till 10 pm and u go in at 9 then the lazy server goes wee r cluse!!! Literally with an accent lol!
i dont knownn where these peole haven eaten but this is one of the best thai restaurants in NJ or NY. I love thai food and eat it very often and this place is first class. I have brought many friends to this retaursant and they have all become big fans.. I have NEVER heard a bad word from anyone who has eaten in this restaurant.. If you want bad thai food go to Splash of Thai in westfield...
I guess if you've never left Clark you might think this place is so special, but if you've had good Thai food (say... in NYC) then you know this place is extremely average. We've eaten there occasionally over the years and after each meal we ask ourselves why went back (our lazyness). If you enjoy very oily food, then this is your place.
This time we went basic and ordered Pad Thai and Tom Yung Gung. The pad Thai tasted like oily cardboard and the soup was basically colored saltwater with flavorless shrimp. Other times the food has tasted OK, but we've never had a meal there worth remembering.
And yes, the service is not good. They just seem to have an arrogance like the customers are stupid Americans that don't deserve their respect.
Nowadays there's a Thai restaurant in most towns, but none in the area are that special, so if you want a great Thai meal, hit the city, not Thailand Restaurant.
What a disappointment ! It's all hyped reviews. We eat at Thai restaurants all the time, in Jersey and in NYC. Last night we had the chance to try this restaurant. Their food was not fresh at all. We ordered the steamed mussels, but we had to send it back because it was not edible at all! One bite and I knew it was bad. It was the worst mussels I've ever tasted. We thought it was a fluke so we ordered fried snapper with garlic and pepper. The fish was not fresh, too. The only consolation was the fried tofu and the pad thai were edble.
Those who eat Thai food on a regular basis would know better. Their food is below par and their service too was terrible. They were unfriendly bunch who tend to scream at their native language. Except for the guy who asked if we're done, he was the only one who seemed to care what he does.
It's pretty good if you've never been there before but their quality has gone down since i started going (10 years ago). But most of their entrees are really good, and their soups are the best. Atmosphere is weird and not restaurant like. But their prices are great for lunchtime.
This is the best Thai food I've ever eaten (and it's authentic- you will frequently see Thai natives enjoying a dinner here), but the service could be better- especially during busy lunch & dinner hours. I've been going here about every other week since they opened a few years ago, and although the place is not much to look at (old refurbished diner and shared parking with lumber yard), the food is excellent. I've gone with a lot of friends, family, and co-workers... they all love it and have gone back for more.
Warning: do not order hot, unless you've been there before, or you're really sure you want it extra spicy. Certain dishes are SUPER spicy! I've seen co-workers who like spice, order the hot, but not be able to eat it.
Have been going for years with coworkers. Excellent flavors, portion size, price and service. The only negative is weak decor and no sticky rice. Tonight I am grabbing some to go to eat at home. Love it and go through witdrawals if i don't go there every so often.
DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!! used to eat here a lot until a large bug crawled out of my pad thai noodle. when i returned to complain to the diner they really werent interested and just wanted to get me out of the diner. Their excuse was that sometimes they jump into the pan when they are cooking !!!!- you were warned
GREAT restaurant!!! It looks kind of sketchy from the outside and parking can be tricky, but it is seriously the BEST thai food I have ever had!! Their puk-satay, pad thai and tom-gha-talay (spelling? it's a reaaaally good soup that kind of looks like what I wrote) are all AMAZING!!! And the thai iced tea is wonderful!!! One of my favorite area restaurants!!
