I have been going to Mama Rosa for the past 2 years. Everytime I've gone with friends or family Food had been excellent from the chicken dish to the Seafood. My special is Chicken Rustio, you got to try.
They don't skimp on the quality ingredients. Pizza nice in thin & crispy
Service great the waitress make you feel welcome.
I was initally hesitant to write this review but, I felt after my meal today it was absolutely necessary. The food in this place is God Awful. Now let me first say that the pizza at Mama Rosa is halfway decent. I'd go so far as to give the pizza 3 1/2 - 4 stars. But everything else on the menu, **and I mean everything else**, is God Awful. I've went in there twice with some friends and both times I was disappointed. The pasta sauses are beyond BLAND. I had the Chicken Marsala and the Marsala sauce tasted like brown water with mushrooms. And the chicken? the chicken looked liked it was boiled and thrown on a plate of pasta (boiled chicken Marsala....is that a sin or what?). My friend that was with me got the Spagetti and Meatballs. He took 3 forkfulls and decided, hungry or not, he wasn't gonnahe couldn't eat any more. So I tried it to see if it was improvement from the abomination I ordered. It was not. The pasta sauce tasted looked and tasted like red paint and the meatballs, while although looking quite nice, they were bankrupt of any flavor, spice, or taste for that matter. I'm Italian and I cook somewhat often and I know my way around the kitchen. You have to believe me that I'm not exaggerating when I tell you that the red sause had a taste like they used a couple of cans of tomato paste, and just warmed it up. Incidentally, the pasta that came with my dish, as well as my friend's dish were both still dripping with water. All in all, it was terrible meal. Now I will say that the servers are quite nice and quite efficient. I would give them 5 out of 5 stars. I still gave the waitress who served me 20% because it's not her fault the food she serveed tasted like garbage. Here's my recommendation (for anyone that cares): If you go to Mamma Rosa...stick to ordering off of the Pizza Menu and stay away, far away, from ordering anything else. Trust me...you'll be disappointed.
