This is now Mysore Indian Restaurant, new owners approx took over a year ago. Check out my review on Mysore, this place is excellent !!!!! Beats others by leaps and bounds in the area as well as westchester and NYC. Great taste and freshness.. Try the varied lunch buffet if u dont believe me..
This restaurant is EXCELLENT. The waiters are friendly, and usually they'll give you a free appetizer as a surprise! I mainly wanted to comment that the hours listed here are completely incorrect. They are open 7 days for dinner. (Not sure what time they open for lunch, but I do know they have a lunch buffet.) Also, I don't know what one of the other reviewers is talking about. I am able to use my credit card at this restaurant without any problem. RECOMMENDED HIGHLY!
My BF & I have been frequenting Bombay Resaturant once again after meeting up w/ some friends there & having a fantastic dinner! We went back the following week for the buffet & tried a little of everything , it was all delicious. That same week the 2 of us had dinner there & found out from our waiter that he was actually the new buisness manager & that he had hired a new chef w/ 20yrs experience. This young man & his family along with the new chefs has once again turned Bombay Restaurant into fine Indian dinning. I wouldn't doubt if we eat there every week now w/ such quality food at an affordable price.
I would consider myself somewhat of a food critic and this is the best Indian Resaurant in Danbury. Nothing compares to Indian food in NYC but for Connecticut this is outstanding. I believe you will not be dissapointed.
Bombay Restaurant's weekday lunch buffet is by far the best Indian food I have even eaten. For about $9.00 out the door you leave filled with simply wonderful food. Their buffet is slightly different every day but always has 1 Lamb dish, 1 Chicken dish and 2-3 vegetable dishes, plus salad, Naan, and chutney.
The staff is friendly and the service is excellent. I just got back from Australia and New Zealand and ate at many Indian restaurants down there, none compared to Bombay!!!
I liked the restaurant owner as well as the quality food. Compared to other Indian restaurants near Danbury, this one is the best and popular as well. Though located very outside of Danbury, most of the times they are full and you have to wait in queue. They have a very small place compared to number of people who visit it, but then food quality is awesome and they also have members club where after each 5 meal you get the one free. If you love Indian spicy food, you would love them too.
