Taco Loco Restaurant
When we opened in 1982 on Main Street we were just selling tacos, burritos and nachos in our small taco shop. They were delicious! Word got about Taco Loco and as the demand for increased, we outgrew our shop and moved to Black Rock where we expanded our menu and services.Nowadays, we have a complete menu with entrees such as paella, steak chimichurri, carnitas, pollo mole poblano and the same Taco Loco tacos that made us famous. Voted Best Mexican Restaurant in Fairfield County. Best Margarita, Best Fajita, Best Nachos by Connecticut Magazine and many other publications. We are known for our outstanding service, our alfresco dinning an our outdoor patio and with over 75 premium tequilas, don't forget our complete selection of fabulous margaritas as well as Mexican beers and outstanding wines! Our catering business keeps growing every year! Thanks to our customers, during the last ten years we have catered numerous weddings, bar mitzvahs, communions, beach parties, block parties, showers, birthdays, holiday celebrations and corporate events for up t o 650 people. We welcome you to our restaurant and if there is anything we can do for you, please let us know. Wow. I can't believe all the good reviews. This place must be going down hill. The service was bad (our server kept chatting with a little blondie at the bar instead of bringing our food) and the food was the same. I had the pollo mole, a friend had the fajitas, and our wives had the ceviche (special) and we all agreed that we wouldn't be going back.
We went to Taco Loco the other night & we had a wonderful experience. Our last experience wasn't up to par about a month ago. But wednesday night was GREAT!!! AMY our waitress she was the best server we've ever had at Taco Loco. She gave us great Margarita & entree sugestions. Our pitcher of margaritas on the rocks was subperb, and her suggestion for the Lobster Chimichanga was out of this world good. Amy was extremely attentive to our needs our water glasses were always full, she went ABOVE & BEYOND as far as customer service. We will be back again!!! Thank You Amy & Thank You Taco Loco.
I'm not sure who was paid to write this- I assure you I was not.. read on.
I took my wife to Toco Loco on a date night and we've both never been so dissapointed.. ever! We've eaten at MANY places from tiny unknown Mexican restaurants in NYC to some of the better one's scattered through the NE. While the service was great the food wasn't. If you know your latin food you'd never let this pass as latin in any way. My burrito tasted like old goat meat and smelled slightly like it too- my wife was turned off by the Guacamole - the worst flavor we've tasted in an otherwise solid addition to almost any Mexican meal.
We paid our bill, thanked the wonderful and cheerful waitress and to eat other we vowed never to go back to Taco Loco.
To each their own I suppose. I know goat when I taste it and musky goat meat is the worst surprise meat you can spring on someone who is paying a decent price for the food they expected to receive.
TACO LOCO is PHENOMENAL! I have been eating here since 96/97.
I love the steak fajita dinner myself, their steak burritos & their homemade salsa..yummo!
Decent prices, nice crowds, the cheesecake is truly homemade & tastes fantastic!
I love the mud pie too..
I am allergic to shellfish but everyone I know swears by the Ceviche.
Started out by the owners brother in a little store on Main St in the 80's & has expanded into an awesome place to eat, drink & chill.
Family friendly, they cater, have a party there, outside dining year round, music, to go food, etc.
Honestly, this place rocks!
Outside of the Southwest, Taco Loco provides some of the best mexican food I've ever had. Fresh and flavorful, it is a mexican food lovers dream. Don't forget to enjoy one of their award winning maragrita's with dinner.
