Beverly Pizza House, Bridgeport

Best pie ever. I love this place. Try the pepperoni and onion. The salads and grinders are also excellent.

Oh yeah. Just came back from a trip to LA. With no food in the fridge, I made my way to the Beverly for a nice small bacon with extra cheese and a Greek salad. Boy, did that hit the spot. No more jet lag. I am in pure pizza nirvana. Thanks, Chris. You make the BEST pizza. I am so glad you are only a phone call away.

This is not your average pizza place. This once legendary pizza has changed significantly in the last year. The staff has changed due to retirement and the pizza has gone down hill to a point that I'm not eating there again. The new kid cannot handle the pressure of more then one order at a time. He is punching clock and going home, his effort is poor and when questioned he refused to even make an attempt to communicate. The Beverly's on Main Street was sold, the manager of that shop came to work in the original Black Rock Beverly's. The difference between the two pizzerias was easily discernible yet they were set up with the same equipment and stocked with the same ingredients. The variable is the staff. That staff has since moved to the Black Rock Beverly's. I believe this is the reason for the sudden fall in quality and consistency. I am speaking for many Black Rock residents. That pizza was really one of a kind. People from all over come here and say that the ingredients, crust and cooking style are truly original. Sadly, due to a personal change the original Beverly's pizza is no more. Chris, sell while you can because you're young replacement, while very polite, does not have the skills to do the job or is not willing to put the effort in to what you've build over the last 50 years. Folks, its not what it once was. Judge for yourself but in this area of the country there is plenty of able competition. Colony Pizza, Pepe's Pizza, Mario the Baker are all very very good pizzeria's some with national notarity. Bev's used to be one of them, no more.

My aunt lives in Black Rock, my brother, sister and I live in other areas of the U.S. Every time one of us goes to CT we tease the other two about how they're missing a Beverly's pizza. They're the best!! Wish it was a national wide franchise but then it would probably lose everything that makes it great. I'm having one in a few weeks, can't wait!!

It's the best! We've lived in Black Rock for 10 years and have tried ever pizza in the area. Nothing compares to Beverly. We always get a large cheese and ask for it well done. We like it that way - It's not as greasy that way and you can taste the sauce even more. The staff is fantastic as well. It's a family run business and they're always there and love to catch up with the locals. Very friendly! Just try it. It's greek pizza so don't expect it to taste like Dominos!!

Beverly's Pizza is the GREATEST!!!! I grew up on this pizza and simply LOVE it...... They need to sell it in the frozen section in every grocery store...this way I could purchase it anytime. I no longer reside in Ct and have been craving for it

Pizza is a tad greasy but okay not great. Nauti Dolphin is best in area.

Excellent pizza, the best in the area. Try a white pizza with eggplant, onions and mushrooms!

Pizza simply doesn't get any better than Beverly's. Absolutley heavenly.

Really good pizza. Very greasy but if you're eating pizza what do you expect? The grease is it's signature. Try a plain cheese pie and enjoy the buttery crust. Savor it. Beverly's is a good pie.
