Amatos Apizza & Restaurant, New Haven

I am a long time customer...I love this small family business they are really nice and their pizza is awesome!!!It is my preferred Pizza place not pretentious just a nice mom and pop with lots of quality products and people

horrible service! when i called to order, they constantly put me on hold, rudely!

I ordered the antipasto salad for lunch and it was outstanding. I called them for the salad dressing receipe which I was not surprised to find out was homeade.. I have enough for tomorrows lunch.

New Haven has the BEST and Amato's is by far the best in the area. ~I live nearby as well and have to laugh when I go past people standing in the rain and snow and heat in Moderns long lines. There are a couple others where you have to wait forever too. The food is delicious and plenty of it, staff is friendly, the prices are decent and you dont have to wait forever! Oh, and they DO deliver, Im in my warm house, waiting for mine to be delievered right now!

I live right around the corner from this awesome restaurant, I could walk over to Modern easily...I always laugh at the crowds waiting at Modern when Amato's is much better. The waitresses have always been friendly and they treat you like family. The pizza is great and the canoli's are awesome too!!! I also love their dinners. I've sampled a little bit of everything and I HAVE NEVER BEEN disappointed!!!!I've been going to Amato's since it opened!!!

The pizza is the best I have ever tasted. I am a very picky eater and I can say they are top rated. I will not order more than once from a place that is just okay. I love my food. They are so great that I needed to have a office meeting catered and they opened just to satisfy a customer. TOP RATED!!!!!

In my opinion w/ New Haven Apizza I find a bunch of hype and politics and a bunch of followers and not leaders!!!!!! Amato's apizza is by far my favorite!!! I agree w/ the sauce on the entree's(they dont put nearly enough on the entree) and the fact that they charge extra for a side of marinara sauce is ridiculous but the pizza by the slice is by far the nuts!!! I order 4 slices at least twice/week. Forget about waiting in line for 30+ minutes for a medicore pizza at best and come and see what people aren't talking about at Amato's(why would we share our secret and have to wait in line for 30 mins....keep going to the big name and politically correct places and I'll go to Amato's and be in and out!!!!!!

Amato's Pizza is good when they make their crust THIN. I had it one day and the crust was thin and it had great flavor. I got it again b/c I liked it so much that first time and was disappointed b/c the crust was thick and chewy but it still had good flavor.

dont wait in line at pepe's or modern - they're delicious, but amato's is just as good and much more accommodating. you never have to wait and you don't feel rushed. plus, they're opening a second location in northford!

i love amato's their pizza is delicious!!! i recommend getting a white pie with spinach pepperoni and garlic yum yum babyyyy!!!
