Ibiza Restaurant

Description

Incorporating the methods and recipes of the Spanish tradition what you get is a divine dining experience. The contemporary touches to Spanish cuisine are given by Chef Bollo, who achieves perfection with ease. A celebrity throughout Connecticut, he designed menus for all the Connecticut branches. With celebrities involved in the setting up of the restaurant, hip and plush interiors and world class service is not too much to expect. Try the selection of cured meats, sausages and cheese or a pulpo! Pulpo's a steamed octopus with potato, onion confit andSpanish paprika oil. The best tim, however, is Mondays through Thursdays when there's a tasting menu.

All I can say is Ibiza is like my second home. I have been loyal since they were Pika Tapas. Its been almost 8 or more years now that I have gone there for everything from dinner, lunch, and my 30 something birthday bash!! If I could go to any restaurant everyday, it would be Ibiza!

terrific food at reasonable prices
Imaginative and superb cuisine, head and shoulders above any other restaurant in New Haven. Truly a great restaurant with prices that are shockingly low, considering that the cuisine compares favorably with very good restaurants in New York City, but at a fraction of the price. Attentive, professional service. This is a sophisticated restaurant but with friendly approachable staff.

A very special experience
By ,
What was once Picas Tapas, which became Ibiza, might be the best restaurant in Connecticut. Trust me, there are so many fine/great restaurants in the state, but Ibiza brings things to a new level. Anyone remember the glory days of La Americane in Hartford? This restaurant is two steps ahead. To explain different dishes would take all night. The tasting menu (served Monday through Thursday. Weekends if you call ahead.) with the accompaning wines is probably one of the most special pleasures and values in the country. Some dishes are pure genius. I feel that I don't have to travel to Spain and eat at El Bulli! This restaurant is such a treat. Trust me.

Want an innovative cuisine?
By ,
Try this restaurant when you want something with innovative cuisine and an overall great dining experience, from service to desert wine. Ibiza is the best restaurant, in my opinion in Greater New Haven Connecticut. This restaurant compares with the best meals that I have experienced in major cities anywhere I have traveled. There are cheaper place to eat, but if you can afford it, it is the best!

Save for that Special Moment
By ,
I find Ibiza to be one of the most exciting places to eat in New Haven. Fresh and original, it serves Spanish-influenced Mediterranean cuisine. If grilled octopus is offered, definitely try it. Other dishes that are great include braised lamb shank, fall-off-the-bone tender, and their version of fish soup. Service is very helpful and generally excellent, but patience is required as few of the dishes are prepared ahead of time. As with other restaurants, Ibiza is best visited on weeknights. It's a comfortable, atmospheric place. Consider for special occasions as well.
