Anthony Jack's Woodfire Grille, Southington

We went with another couple and had a great experience. The atmospher was very pleasant. Service was on the mark, drinks were perfect and the food was great. We will make a return visit without question. I wish we had know about this place before.

Had a NY Strip - Thought it was tough and chewy, tasted like it was cooked on a grill that wasn't clean. Had that awful burnt barbecue/charcoal after taste you get when you don't clean your backyard grill.

Best place in southington. Always friendly and great service and food. My extended family also loves the place.

My Wife and I have eaten at AJ's twice in the last month. They had the best broiled scallops we ever tasted. Efficient and curtious service staff. Good drinks (not watered down). We count AJ's as one of the places to go if we want a great meal out for a reasonable price.

once again we tried to eat at anthony jacks ,but much like several times before,we were told there was an hour wait .no one waiting in the lobby or bar,just way too arrogant of a staff to try to fit us in! same results when we made reservations on many occasions.

I went here last night for dinner for the very first time. Was pleasantly surprised. Great atmosphere. Very attentive waitstaff.

Went there over the weekend. Got there before 5:00 on a saturday. Thought I might beat the rush. Started off good. After appetized our waiter disapeared though. Didn't see him again until he showed up with our cold food. I mean every single plate of food was just above room temp. I asked him if he forgot us or did the kitchen not tell him our food was ready? Honestly the answer doesn't matter, does it? He said he wasn't sure what happened. He would look into it. A blond gal came to our table. I guess a manager? Pleasent enough I supose, at least she acknowleged the problem. Offered us two free deserts for a party of five???? Also offered to warm our food. I said no, my steak was medium well and cold. Reheating that would have been a disaster and more time. It was a simple plan, a few beers and a good steak, and that didn't work out at Anthony Jacks. You can't fix that with two deserts split five ways. I'm sure if I protested they would have given me a new steak after a little special handling. We were there to long though and I just wanted to leave. We won't go back. Seems to be a bit of an attitude. Another thing, all the tables were marked reserved when we got there before 5:00. When we left after 7:00 many of those reserved tables were still empty. Not a big deal except they weren't sure if they could fit us in at 5:00. Don't get that one?

Never got to try the food, the menu seemed to have good selections. The owner was so rude me and my party of 17 decided to take our buisiness to Confettis on rte 10. The food and the service was excellent! I think the owner of Anthony Jack's needs too take a customer service in service... Thumbs down!

The food was great. I mean the best I've had in years. The swordfish was soooo good. My husband had the steak and it was done right to perfection. The price was also great for the plate that you get. The serving size was pretty big; I had to bring it home with me. I just want to say I loved it. Not to mention the staff was very polite and nice.

The people writing the reviews are either related to the owner or don't leave southington because I've been here 3 times and the food is always lacking flavor and just mediocre. I went to go here once and we couldn't get in so we walked across the street and had one of the best meals I've had and it was definately better than this place. I think it was called center street or something. I would go there instead. The price is too high for the quality.
