My wife and I have been in many times, only drawback was who makes the pizza, sometimes great and a few times thin as cardboard with sauce on it, rolled out so flat to look big that it curled up sides of box
Having grown up and lived most of my life in the NY metro area, i was very dissapointed by the pizza offerings in CT. Much of it is Greek style pie cut into squares. Round pizza cut in squares?? Please. However, when I moved out of Middletown to East Hampton, i discovered Rossini's.
They makea good pizza. Not too thick but not as thin as a New Haven style. they are large and have a good amount of sauce and cheese and are reasonably priced. They also have good dinners and heros as well.
I would recommend this place to anyone who likes good food at reasonable prices.
This place is not The Russian Tea Room, but it's not Pizza Hut either.
Excellent. Had the pasta, minestrone, chicken with mushrooms & sun dried tomatoes. Service excellent.
Skip the antipasto - it was the only dissapointment; It was made of iceberg lettuce, lunchmeat ham, 2 deli type slices of a weak provolone and about three olives. It was like a larger than average plain green salad you would get at the town diner. I noticed they have some real pisanos in the kitchen but you can bet they didn't make this salad. No prosciutto de Parma, No Soppressata, No smoked mozzarella, No Pepperoncini, No pepperoni, No Parmigiano-Reggiano, No cappacoli, No Roasted Red Bell Peppers,No Mortadella, No Calamata, No artichokes, No marinated baby buffalo mozzarella boconccini, No mixed greens, No nothing. It was really lame, but they still charged $10 bucks for it.
Discovered this cozy wonderful restaurant last fall during a foliage trip with my husband and have been coming here weekly ever since.. Food, service and owners are awesome.. They will go out of their way to please you every time.. I would bring anyone one here and know they would love it as we do... All of our families and friends we have brought here love it too.. Give it a try.. Reminds me of my Grandma's cooki ng right out of Italy.. Could eat the sauce with a spoon and their bread love it!!!!!!!Angelo's tiramisu is to die for.... Their Pizza is my favorite too....So many choices to pick from and love it all..... Rossini's # 1 in our book......
Has to be the best pizza in this part of the state. For anything that even compares you have to travel down to the Havens, or keep on going to NY.
I crave it to the point I think I am addicted :-)
AWESOME PIES!!!! Keep up the good work.
Five stars go to Rossini's, the best local Italian and Seafood. Very pretty place, great food, large portions. Also the owner's and waitresses are very friendly and helpful. They make there own Italian Bread and serve it with each meal. Go Mario and Angelo.
