We've celebrated many a family occassion at Paul's Pasta. We have had take-oput numerous times. However the other day to celebrate a family milestone we had to go to Paul's Pasta. We were disappointed. Yes, we were. After reading all of the tremendous revieews we have to say...we were disappointed with the service. The waitress is not a newbie and was just terrible. The food is good but when couple with less than good service it makes the food taste less so. We travel under an hour to go to Paul's. I must say we will look for someplace close to us or the same about of time iin the opposite direction. Soooo long..PAUL!

Paul's is the absolute best. Big old pasta machine in the window. Pasta made fresh daily. Two or three specials every day, usually seafood based, shrimp or salmon or whatever. Fresh salad. The creamy garlic dressing is to die for. I used to work just down the street at Electric Boat. Ate here several times a week. I would go there before I would go to Foxwoods. In the winter the place is cozy or a takeout is the thing to do. In the summer, the outdoor eating area in the back overlooks the Bay. Just beautiful. Can't wait to go back

My wife and I ate at Paul's based upon the great reviews we had been hearing, and boy were we blown away. We liked it soo much saturday night we decided to go back for lunch the next day after our bike ride. There are few resturaunts that I would say are "real" and dont buy everything they sell off the food distributor truck. They had an amazing array of pastas of course, and quite a few sauce options. Service was great and price was very reasonable for what you were getting, I could imagine this place charging 2x what they were charging and still have a line out the door. A little hard to find, but if you go once, it wont be your last visit.

Delicious pasta, made on site! I highly recommend the Eggplant Parmesan. The place is small, and is always packed so expect some noise from the crowd. I'd also expect to wait awhile, especially on the weekends. The summer is nice because they have a patio out back. Service can be slow, but thats because its always very busy...wait it out and you won't be disappointed.

OUTSTANDING!!! Superb food, resonable prices and GREAT SERVICE. If I did not live 250 miles away I would be there at least once a week.

Paul's Pasta Shop was a great experience. A tiny little restaurant produces amazing food and service. You can not beat the prices either. Sits on the marina with a beautiful view. Well worth checking out.

Great food. Pasta is made in the shop. Summer time on the deck is the best. It can get crowded and a little cramped on Fri. and Sat. night. Great place for lunch. My fav in Groton.

Pauls Pasta is awesome. The staff there is great, polite, always there when you need them, and always worth a big tip! I always base my tip not on how much I spend, but on how much service they are willing to provide. At Pauls I have actually matched the tip to the price of the food because these waitresses and waiters, with the rest of the staff, are always there to fill up a drink, or ask how the food is. Fast seating, even seating outside, Great food, Great staff, and a good selection of food and wine. This place deserves a 5 star rating. Its odd that i think the food is great also, as I normally dont like to go out for Pasta.
