Stonecroft Country Inn, Ledyard

We had the opportunity to stay at this wonderful inn recently due to a conference in the area. Check-in went very smoothly and the service was gracious and extremely friendly. We even had the chance to view all the rooms on the property. We chose a room in the Grange which was immaculate, beautifully furnished and had an amazing bathroom with a jacuzzi tub. Breakast the next morning was delicious and we were even asked for our favorites which were cooked to perfection. Breakfast included fresh fruit and homemade muffins, as well as a main dish. It was so peaceful eating breakfast in the dining room with the music playing and a beautiful view of the wonderful gardens from the window. My only wish was that we could stay longer, as the conference took up most of our time in the area. I am hoping to return for my birthday; enjoying sitting in the gardens and having dinner in the inn's restaurant.

The food is wonderful, the rooms are relaxing and beautifullly appointed... and the Innkeeper is warm and welcoming... a definite must if you're in the area. By far will surpass your expectations. A little off the beaten path, but still close to Mystic, Foxwoods, and Mohegan Sun, Stonecroft allows you solitude, comfort, and an opportunity to reconnect with a loved one or to unwind and return to your daily life more grounded and well rested than ever. (The beds are HEAVENLY!) Enjoy champagne on your arrival, schedule a massage with Wendy (she's got magic hands) and your weekend will be unforgettable. Great during the week too. I'd give Stonecroft more than five stars if I could. Wonderful place, wonderful food, and exceptional people.
