Let me just give you a little background. My Father is 84yrs old and he has bought Procaccini s and or Gino s pizza no less than twice a month for 30yrs! (let me tell you when I was young I ate alot of their crappy pizza!)Now we are in the present day and my Dad was solicited by some teen going door to door in his neighborhood $25 for $50 resturant credit. Basically a scam to get you in their door. My Dad attempts to use $15 coupon and the slob of an owner flat out refused! So much for customer loyalty. On the upside at least my Dad can now discover some other area resturant that actually has pizza we can stomach!
We just love this place last two times we ate there we tried itaiian dishes and were pleasantly suprised on how good quality ! Manacotti and chicken parm were tops we have had. Service very friendly too. Highly reccomend this place oh yeah the pizza is what we return for weekly!
My mom grew up in EH and her parents use to get pizza from Gino s usually once a week. We got a coupn off of living social, and had NO clue it was still Ginos! She loved it, and I have to say it s one of the best pie s I ve ever had!
Love this place! If you are looking for a family restaurant with down home italian cooking, this is the place to go. The pizza is some of the best I have ever had! It has the perfect crust, excellent sauce and is very cheesy. They also have fantastic eggplant fries which had not seen on any other menu around. The staff is warm and friendly and treat everyone like family! It is not a fancy place but the food and service are unparalled!
I grew up in East Hartford and was born the same year Gino's pizza was established in 1969. Been a big fan since I was a young boy at Hockanum School. I have since worked and lived all over CT and now reside and work in the New Haven area and have had pizza from all over CT. Without a doubt, Gino's pizza at Procaccini's hasn't changed a bit and is still the same as it ever was. I still,to this day, will go out of my way and go to Proccacini's about once a month and bring home a real Pizza Pie from Pracaccini's, or 2. I have had my New Haven traditionalist thin crust pizza lover's try Gino's pizza and they all have loved it,although they never will admit they like it better than their thin crust pizza! Pracaccini's, from my family to yours, Keep doing what you do and thanks for the great food over the years!
