Roma Restaurant & Pizzeria, East Hartford

Love this place - great food, reasonable prices. best pizza I've found since moving up from NY. Read the negative review...and must say, it sounds like they were being very fussy for this kind of place. Roma's isn't upscale or fine-dining...just great food at a very comfortable place.

My wife and I dined at Roma Restaurant for the fist time about a week ago. I had the Carbonara and it was excellent - just a hint of garlic in the alfredo sauce and lots of meat. Maybe the best Carbonara I have ever had. My wife had the Chicken Marsala and said it was very good. They also make their own sauce, but since I can't stand mushrooms I didn't get a chance to taste my wife's dish. But she said the sauce was very good. For dessert the chocolate cake was awesome. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I have heard a lot of good things about Roma's and I have to say, I was not impressed. Some of the food was good. The sauce was very good. We had asked for some olive oil for our bread and we were told that they were out of that kind of olive oil, though, clearly, they had bottles of it for sale. Not really sure why they couldn't open one. Also, one of our guest had requested a side of bread crumbs to put on top of her pasta. We were told that they don't have any. All they have are crushed Ritz Crackers. This was very surprising. How did they bread the chicken for the chicken parm? Did they use Ritz for that? Or are the chicken cutlets not made fresh? What was also surprising is that an Italian restaurant that didn't serve espresso. Finally the sound system was playing the same song over and over. We traveled about 20 minutes to try this place which was highly recommended. Bottom line is - if you like mediocore Italian food, it's OK, but I wouldn't waste my time going back.

I LOVEEEE Romas Restaurant&Pizza I do not know how many know this but they do Deliver in the East Hartford Area now which is a BiG PLUS for Me I LOVE there Grinders there the Best better than Anyone elses keep up the good Work. Lisa East Hartford, CT

Best Pizza in town. I have been going at roma pizzeria for years. Now my family only wants romas pizza. Good friendly family atmosphere with warm staff. Emelia seems to greet everyone by their first name which lead you to beleive that everyone comes back for more Roma.
