Great Food and Service. I recommend the Shashimi Bibimbap.

The best thing about Ichiban are 3 sushi roll they recently added to their menu. The Volcano Fusion, Fortress, and Beauty and the Beast. I get the Volcano Fusion at least once a week. It is eel, crab, and cucumber on the inside wrapped in seered salmon with a orange sauce. The mix of hot and cool is amazing. You have to try them all. With that being said, Ichiban has above average Japanese food. It is a little expensive. It's a great night out. Ambiance is amazing. The servers are very nice. I live around the corner, so I know them all. It took me a while to realize the owners are twins! I thought the same guy was there day and night. I give it 4 stars because of price/portion.

I have to admit that my exposure to Korean food is limited at best. Having said that, my introduction at Ichiban Restaurant was really pleasant. I would absolutely butcher the name of the dish I had if I tried, suffice it to say that it was a big Korean salad, prepared tableside (because the waiter was clued in enough to realize I didn't know what I was doing), with a fried egg on top. The dish came with at least eight or nine little accoutrements: bean sprouts, different sauces, kimchee cabbage, and more. It was extremely tasty. I have tried Ichiban's sushi before and have had a mixed feeling the couple of times I've had it. If you like Korean though, or haven't tried it, have a little Ichiban.

The food was average, but the location and decor made it a pleasant visit. I had a korean dish and it was visually very attractive but a bit bland. The sushi was okay, but variety was definitely lacking.
