A D's Pizzeria Restaurant, Windsor Locks

Ok folks, if your looking for some seriously fantastic pizza, look no further. They serve a thicker crust here than your standard NY thin style pizza. One thing that I have always noticed about their pizzas is that they are not greasy at all!!! However, I never get pepperoni so I can only assume that would add to the greasiness of the pie. I usually get hamburg (and yes, they have actual hamburg here and not meatballs...I hate places that only serve meatballs on pizza), onion, mushroom. My girlfriend and I love that combo, so that usually what we get. The restaurant area is fairly large and not too busy most of the time, as most folks do take out, so if you want a nice relaxing environment and a good pie, you can't go wrong. Note however, that this place is a Pittsburgh Steeler fan club, so pay attention to the Steeler's game schedule so that you don't overlap your dining our intentions in synch with a game...the whole place will be packed with rabid Steeler fans on game day! Good time too if your into that! Either way, you can't go wrong. Another great dish is their lasagne! Great sauce and cheesy! Ask for Alfi if you go!
