We love the changes that have been made. The produce is fresh and first quality. The store is cleaner, brighter and better maintained. I think the the product mix has improved and I am stoppoing there more often. This store has gone through a rebirth and it was time.
new owners seem out of touch. i think they are looking to turn fitzie's into some sort of high-profit, epicurean marketplace rather than the reliable grocery in the center of town. already the staff is changing (not necessarily for the better) and the vendor selection seems to be turning more towards a pocket-lining, low end garbage food. we used to look forward to deli salads and premade entrees from fitzie's. now i guess we'll all just be going to stop &shop and big y while we watch fitzgeralds go the way of andy's and say cheese. there is no place for quality local markets in this town. it's a sad day in simsbury.
The store owner aims to please. He's available on the floor regularly and values customer service. The staff are friendly. Heard they make he best b-day cakes in the Valley of all grocery stores. Warren Blyle is very community minded as well. He won't let you down.
Great store. They have alot of unique items other stores don't have and if you can't find an item they will try and get it for you. Very clean and they have the friendliest staff.
Most employees welcome you warmly and are very willing to help you locate the items you may not be able to find. They are a very community oriented store and also have a great selection of both food and drink and other things that make it the unique place it is.
