Toshi Sushi Restaurant, located in the heart of Connecticut's Farmington Valley, has been delighting Japanese food lovers for over 10 years with an extensive menu that includes both traditional and original Japanese dishes
I was introduced to this place by my friends and boy was I impressed. Their sushi is amazing!!!! I tried other restaurants in the area but none compare to Toshi. Their service is quite good too. I would reccomend to anyone!!!!!!!!!!!!
i just moved to ct from japan, and i visited a lot of japanese restaurants in the hartford surrounding area, looking for real sushi...finally i find real sushi at toshi restaurant..The fish is fresh and melted in my mouth ..I could not believe how good the food was. Other area restaurants do not even compare with the quality of food and service I received once visiting Toshi!! The atmosphere was great and the people that work there made me feel at home. I defenitely recommend Toshi if you are looking for great japanease food and expierence.
The sushi is good but their tempura and katsu plates are below the level of a zagat rated restaurant. I'd say that their best value entree is the chirashi sushi. Not too crazy about the service either...
Toshi has been too idle with both their presentation and their quality. WasaB restaurant just down the road is by FAR the better option for sushi in the Farmington Valley, and probably ALL of Connecticut.
Food is usually very good - but watch out, it can be spotty. Lunch is a great value.. they do a lunch box for $6.95 that will not leave you hungry or stuffed.
Service is a bit icy, but they are usually very quick. Dinner is very expensive and, in my opinion, not worth it. Go at lunch time to experience this place.
