nasty meal and dreadful atmosphere. The latter included screaming infant, carpet sweeper, and smelly spray-stuf to clean nearby tables. What a treat on a Saturday night! The capper was the manageress who aruged about every complaint.
My husband and I went to brunch today with our 18 month old son. We are very disappointed. The food was terrible for the price. It was something that I would expect from the cheap hotel up the road suzanna's. (maybe theirs is better) We started with the salad bar. When I TRIED to cut my roll in half it was completly impossible it was harder then a rock. I literally banged it on the table to show my husband how hard it was. The eggs were unedible ( I'm assuming that they are not real eggs) they were watery. As I dished them on my plate water from them went all over my other food. I was so happy to see that there were blueberry pancakes until I realized that them to were hard and chewy. I figured since the breakfast portion of the buffet was discusting I would try the lunch part of it. The food just simply tasted cheap. I expected more from a local business. I felt like I was eating at a low end shoney's. Like I mentioned earlier we brought our 18 month old son. We asked for a chocolate milk and she brought it out in a large glass. We asked if they had anything more baby friendly (such as something with a cover) she said they had some but the kitchen staff throws them out. We finally got our check. I was suprised to see that they had charged us 2.99 for our son to eat (two tater tots & couple crackers). I went up to pay thinking it was a mistake (they certaintly wouldn't charge and 18 month old) she said yes and infact after the age of 2 it goes up to $5.99. My husband thought she was joking because I certaintly wouldn't pay 5.99 for a 2 year old to pick a couple things off the buffet. I told her that my son hardly ate anything. She got angry and scrached the 2.99 off the bill, took the credit card and ran it through. She handed me the slip and never said another word to me. The waitress was okay, not overly friendly but did her job and kept filling my water glass up. I'm sorry to complain but if I was running a business I would want this feedback. I was astonished to see as we walked out the door that it was the best breakfast buffet in central vt, which I guess is true considering I don't know of any others in the area. I will be telling my grandfather that we need to find a different place to eat mothers day. He usually takes 15-20 of us out every year. We have a lot of children in our family under the age, and I cringe thinking that this old man is getting taken to the cleaners paying 5.99 for children to eat a minimal amount of food. To sum it up. I feel like we got cheap food for an expensive price.
Had another great dinner! A group of friends get together once a month for dinner and this is our favorite spot. The service is always excellent and we are never rushed. Had the Cajun Haddock this month, it was very good. The salad and dessert bar are always good. Look forward to my next visit.
Went on a Friday night and saw an awesome magic show. Had the best burgers and salad bar ever. Friendly atmosphere, employees & entertainment. I'll definitely go back again as soon as I get back to Vermont this summer!
The meal was excellent. My 2 children love the salad and dessert bar. The lobster pie was really good. Our family eats here often and have always had a great meal with very good service. Would highly recommend.
Best Lobster Roll! Service was great. My husband had the Prime Rib and said it was excellent. The dessert bar was just the perfect ending. Had to wait about 20 minutes for a table, but was worth the wait. A must if you are in the area.
Group of friends had dinner there. We all loved our meals. Chicken Parmesan was the best I have ever had. Service was great. The Salad Bar was very fresh with plenty of choices. Chili was a favorite also. Next time will save room for make your own sundae.
