The food and service have improved slightly with new ownership, but not by much. Some of the staff are nice but some are still really rude.

I really have to question how this restaurant is still open. My fiancé and I ordered their pizza once and will never do so again. For one pie it was 17 dollars, and while the food got there relatively fast, it was absolutely disgusting. The crust was so soggy the pizza flopped over when you picked it up, the sauce was tasteless, and the sausage we got on ours was overcooked and tasted like over cooked cheap ground beef. Overall it was just plain gross. We only finished eating it because we didn't want to have wasted money. After I stopped eating it I literally gagged at the smell of it. It baffles me how they could screw up something as simple as pizza.

My problem was not with customer service, it was with the food. I ordered a sausage pizza and let me tell you I've never had anything so nasty in my life. I will never eat here again, that's for sure.

To top off the fact that their food and service are awful. When you attempt to complain they call the police department and heckle you. The worst service and food I have found in the area. Rude children run this restaurant and do not deserve a simply awful rating. Go in some time when all other restaurants in town are full and there are plenty of tables available if not empty. That in itself speaks volumes.

There are no blackholes here to rate Village Pizza. One star=awful= down right garbage would be too much to offer. The food is terrible. So terrible I was given a 50 $ credit for such bad food. So I ordered a pizza recently it was OK. This evening I ordered a chicken parm sub, chicken tenders, and a calzone. Chicken Parm was Chicken Salad with marinara soggy and frankly soaking wet. Calzone was soaking wet undercooked, if not for the onions there would have been NO taste. Chicken fingers were under cooked and yet only a single bite was tender, the rest crunchy junk ! I returned the sub and chicken fingers, my friend ate the inside of the calzone. When I spoke with the manager she questioned what I thought a chicken parm sub was, upon speaking to the waitress she insisted if I do not like their food to cook my own. This restaurant should close or make themselves a rec center. As far as food and service? Food is of Dumpster Quality and Service is twisted with childish behavior and treating customers so poorly they should all be terminated and not allowed to work in the food service industry again!

This place is really bad. If I could rate it lower than 1 star, I would. Village Pizza is a pizza shop, but they don't have a real pizza oven. They have an electric oven with a steel conveyor track. It's like an Easy-Bake oven on a couple steroids, and these kind of ovens are notoriously bad for cooking pizza in any kind of humid weather. Especially on rainy days, the 'za comes out in a puddle of grease and water (if you ordered any vegtables for your pie). To help to compensate for this, the cook will usually turn up the temp of the oven, but that just makes it worse because your crust is overcooked on the bottom, and it's still doughy. It's basically soup on a thin, burnt, spongey noodle. When you pick up a slice, it flops down and all the sauce, cheese, etc, falls off. You basically have to eat it with a fork and knife, which is made all the more attrocious as the utensils are cheap plastic, like at a picnic, and you are eating off of even cheaper paper plates. That's right--paper plates and plastic forks, all of which goes right into the landfill. They also serve subs and salads at Village Pizza, but since they use only the cheapest available ingredients, this is little consolation. And it wouldn't be so bad if there prices were good, but they're not. They used to be the only place in town that made deliveries, but now there are at least two other pizza shops that deliver. They do have a TV, a jukebox, and a pooltable, which is why so many teens hang there after school and on weekends. There are so many great places in Montpelier, some with pool tables, some with free entertainment, all with much better-quality, better-tasting, and healthier food, all within a couple of blocks of this place. So why would anyone want to eat at Village Pizza? It is a mystery.

There pizza is ok but their customer service is terrible. They think that the customer owes them something. In other words, they feel they are doing you a favor by waiting on you or serving you.
