I have lived in the area for 9 years and have not been pleased by many of the local restaurants. My husband and I decided to venture out for his birthday and we were on limited time so we decided on Dj's. We didnt call ahead and make a reservation (our mistake) however we decided the 30 minute wait was acceptable and waited. Boy we were so glad we did! My husband and I were thrilled and delighted with our dinner, the ambiance and table service. We were only saddened by one thing! We should have tried this place years sooner! I have traveled extensively and I am a picky customer and I hold establishments to a higher standard. Well DJ's met that standard. SO TO TOURIST and LOCALS. EAT AT DJ's. The Prices, Food and Menu will appeal to everyone. Tip..call ahead for a reservation. Quality is there. One of the few places in our area that I will recommend and frequent as a local! Thanks DJ's I didnt tell you guys this however you made our night out fabulous!
We have a camp in Vermont and always make time to go to D.J.'s. For us the Prime Rib is the signature meal. We really enjoy the staff, however on our most recent trip, Katie was the highlight of our dining experience. She is very personable and a great sense of humor. If you go.. let her pick your bottle of wine. We can't say enough about this terrific place.

My family's been going to DJ's every summer and winter for 25 years. It's solid, good food, good prices, good crowd, good service (I think we've had the same waitress for 25 years, too). Probably the best value in Ludlow; we've never had a bad experience there. We've tried other places, but always end up at DJ's by the end of the week. It's not fine dining by any stretch of the imagination, but it's consistently good. Keep it up!!
DJs in Ludlow Vermont is what it is. It's good quality, basic food at good prices.
The Ludlow locals love this place (it's one of the few restaurants that is open year-round and packed every night).
The atmosphere is booths, dark wood and Frank Sinatra on the sound system (always turned down for good conversation).
The prime rib and stuffed baked shrimp are excellent and the occasional special, fried oysters drives me wild.
Ok, salad bars are 1960s but it's comforting to step back to the past sometimes, and DJ's salad bar is well attended and always fresh.
Every employee, from the owner down to the dishwashers are locals and friendly, beyond belief.
(Ask any of the bus-kids how they did at snowboard comps, baseball or basketball this year).
The bar menu has a teryaki chicken sandwich with pinapple sauce and the best rustic cut fries in town. Or choose the cheeseburger for a tasty meal and get this, it is under $6! Saturday's they do not offer this though.
My stuffed shrimp was excellent and so was everyone else's food. The salad bar that came with the meals wasn't too impressive but the warm rolls compensated for it. This place is so popular with big groups with kids so don't be surprised if your group get cramped in a small booth of 8. I'll still recommend it, DJs is solid good food!
