We stumbled upon the Art of the Chicken before we headed back to New Jersey from our trip to Okemo 3 years ago. We were hooked and have been regulars on every trip since.
The dining room is small and i think they do mostly take-out business, but we decided to eat in. I began my meal with one of Nick's freshly built salads. I could tell it was made on the fly, because the onion taste didn't even permeate the other elements and the ingredients crunched. My lunch was a Vermont Maple Roasted half Chicken with rice and steamed broccoli. The portion was ample and well worth the price tag of about 11 dollars. I finished the meal off with a slice of an apple pie that just came out of the oven. It was delicious!
After chatting with the owners, Nick and Marlene, we learned that they too lived in New Jersey and they began the restaurant about five years ago, after moving to the mountains.
There are plenty of places in Ludlow with more frills, but for a freshly made meal at a great price i would highly recommend the Art of the Chicken.
