Brand new building. Great location. Great service. Great food. What else do you want? Oh yeah, great Bar. Cleaniest bathrooms in town. Had a really great meal at Bayview. Can't wait to go back. We booked their private room for a birthday party for my Dad. Their staff is excellent.
We recently drove through Camden on our way to Bar Harbor. We ventured to the public landing and found Bayview Lobster. We were ready to eat well and that we did. We decided to take our time and enjoy our dinner instead of rushing through on the way to our final destination. The lobster was fabulous! It was tasteful and tender....cooked outdoors. Everything we had was perfect. We ended our meal with a generous piece of blueberry pie and vanilla ice cream. Our server was prompt and curtious. We couldn't have asked for a better treat on the way to our vacation.
After eating at The Bayview I know why tourist and locals love it. The food ,service and location can't be beat. When in Camden I will allways go there, even if I have to wait. A must is the fried green tomatoes.
if only people saw what goes on in the kitchen. its nasty. the food is mabe a step up to some thing like a chillies. most of the food is pre frozen and the local fish is from farm raised from other countries. the floors in the kitchen are never clean. the methods o cooking are bad. the food is just tossed in the microwave, depending on what you buy. the fried food is decent, the chowders are cold and just bad. i would not eat at bay view lobster. their are plenty of other restaurants in camden that are by far better.
This place has it all---good food(reasonably priced), great atmosphere, wonderful service, and an owner who obviously takes pride in his restaurant and makes certain all his customers are happy. He even allows those with pets to bring them along for outdoor dining by the Windjammer ships (which we did). We went back twice, and if ever in town again, will surely make a return visit. My husband even liked the lobster there, and he generally dislikes seafood.
The service was great. It's right on the water. They have pinic tables or small ones for 2 people. I saw people bring in dogs. I thought that was great. The food is as good as it gets. Chowder is awesome. The lobsters are cooked outdoors. Good time and good value.
