My wife bought a number of items at Southwest Foodmart at 5 PM today (Monday August 31st). Several items crucial to our dinner were not in our bags when we arrived at our rental house in Manset. My wife returned to the Market, and the person in charge, Jason, refused to replace the missing items. When I called Jason to ask him why he didn't give my wife the missing items, he hung up on me.
My wife and I have been vacationing in the Southwest Harbor area for thirty years and nothing like this has ever happened to us in the past. We will obviously not be returning to that store, and perhaps not to Southwest Harbor in future years. We have found the level of service being currently provided in a number of the local stores to be dramatically worse than in the past.
