My grandmother has Humana insurance which requires her to keep her 26 meds on file at Wal~Mart where she travels a lot. Refilling her Rx's has never been an issue until we moved to Northern Maine. Not only did they try to substitute her Rx for the wrong type of drug, they narrowly gave her a substitute antibiotic she's allergic to! Maybe the pharmacy should SUBSTITUTE their people with professionals who actually take the time to read a patients allergies and doctor written scripts before filling meds that aren't in need of substitutions. This is also the only Wal~Mart where we have to wait 2hrs for refills that we have called days in advance for. My grandmas been on the same meds minus antibiotic needs here and there, for ten years. GET WITH THE PROGRAM!
All of our other shopping, is dedicated to Kmart. We may pay a few pennies more, but the lines are never long and always tended to and the people who work there actually give a damn about our needs.
Where are the cashiers? Sunday morning 8am 3 registers open, all the night employees trying to cash out. we were Six carts deep full, waited 18-20 minutes to get to register I was #2, took 8 minutes to cash out. Produce is garbage they have nothing in stock, Fish area, many of the upsacle items we have bought for years are gone. they face off with 3or4 rows of the same item. Frozen Items when you get them home there already much frost on them, freezer burn. What draws to walmart, soda prices, open at 6am other than that forget it. Shop Home town store will actually save money and help local people.
My Likes is one stop shopping. Dislikes, I don't know what wal-mart is thinking but store 1924 in Presque isle is letting dogs, cats and i don't know what other kind of animal in their store now. I believe there is a law about letting animals in where there is food. Also there are some shoppers who are alergic to animals. My wife seen a lady the other day with a dog with a lish walking in the food section and the dog stoped and peed on the floor and then the lady went on her way and Left the pee on the floor. Now that is terrible. Also the little dogs sit in the cart on top and that is where we put food and kids ride there. Wal-mart has gone to far with this. I hope something can be done about this. Thank for letting me write my Review.
I work in a doctor's office. We have been trying to telephone Wal-Mart all day to fax over a patient's prescription. We cannot get our calls or faxes through, so now this poor patient has to go without her medication for about a week since we will have to mail her prescription. This shouldn't happen. Personally, I will never rely on Wal-Mart for pharmacy services. And, as a result of this experience, I will think twice about shopping there at all.
