Poor Boy's Gourmet, Bar Harbor

This is perhaps our favorite place to eat dinner at. We have never had a bad meal here. There can be a wait so be prepared but it is definitely worth it. . .Food arrives hot and the service is excellent. We have had the steak and the pasta as well as the cheesecake and other deserts. Blueberry Daiquiris are good too!

Poor Boys Gourmet is a very popular restaurant in Bar Harbor. Make sure you make a reservation or you may be waiting a long time. The are famous for their all you can eat pasta bowl although I have never seen anyone eat more than one. One reason might be because they are saving room for dessert....they have a great selection of cheesecakes.

I went thinking that it would be overpriced and run of the mill menu but there were wonderful choices and for price got quite abit of food! We started out with REAL: Maine blueberry daiquiris (with alcohol but are available without) and I had the lobster special and my husband had the black Angus Sirloin. We left room for their homemade blueberry pie. Everyone was very friendly and we felt like we were with friends.
