Galyn's, Bar Harbor

Very good service. Food was excellent. Steak and seafood were both enjoyed. Salad was fresh and dressing was delicious.

We stopped in and had the early bird specials. The lobster was plenty and the squash and rice and salad rounded out the meal very well. We dined upstairs overlooking the harbor and our waitress was wonderful. She instructed this land locked mid westerner in the art of disecting the lobster in order to get every last tasty morsel. We would dine there again if ever in the area. Price was right, food was good and service was excellent.

The service was fine, I had not problems there. My problem was with the food. I would concur with the previous review that the seafood was probably frozen. Everything else I had was just so bland; there was no real flavor to my food at all. Truly the highlight of my dinner was the celery seed house dressing, which to my palate was still just mediocre.

Very nice little restaraunt. We stopped here for lunch when our cruise ship pulled into Bar Harbor for the day. We were given the option of sitting outside, so we had a great view of the street and harbor, but it still felt secluded. The seafood bisque and lobster salad are both tasty. We had a local wine to wash it down with. For dessert we tried the indian pudding and blueberry cobbler. Very memorable dining experience.

This restaurant is visited by the tourist and the locals alike. They have a long wine list, local catch of the day seafood, homemade soups and dressings. If you have never had a "to die for" salad, this is the place to go! Perfect for couples or other intimate gatherings. Owners are onsite!

This place is amazing! The staff are friendly, the food is out of this world. We were running late and called to see if we had time to make it there and they waited a few minutes for us, this was in April, NOT the height of tourism season. I have sent many friends there and they all have agreed that no trip to Bar Harbor would have been complete with eating here! I can't wait to get back up there and enjoy their amazing crab bisque!

We have been there numerous times and think it is the best. Even though we now live in Illinois we will always stop at Galyn,s when in the area.

Most amazing place ever been to. Food was to die for! will go back for years to come. reccomend to everybody. The staff is so friendly and ready to answer any questions you might have. great for couples and parties
