I know you are supposed to eat lobster here, but as I walked around the town hungry, nothing inspired me to eat until I smelled Di Matteo's. It pulled me in the doors, a rich mixture of basil and butter and garlic. The mushroom and crabmeat stew was thrilling. The veal saltimbocca ravioli was a delight to the nose and throat. I topped it off with a hot apple crumb a la mode that was the perfect combination of warm, sweet and cold. The coffee was outstanding in a coffee saturated town. You must eat here when you are in Bar Harbor.
