Finelli New York Pizzeria, Ellsworth

BEST PIZZA EVER! When my mom visits we have to go every time. My dad says it's just like pizza from New York (and he was born and raised in NYC).

This is the BEST pizza I have ever had! The pepperoni that they use is really flavorful and everything is always proportioned just right - not too little sauce, but not too much. My favorite is the Garden Pizza which tastes like everything just came out fresh from the garden. The pizza is reasonably priced - slightly more than what you'll pay for chain pizza, but it is definitely worth it.

Finelli's is the BEST pizza anywhere!! We travel all over the country, and have had pizza in quite a few places, but we've never had any that was bettet than Finelli's. Keep up the good work, Paul and hang onto Stan!

Hands down the best pizza in the area. Thin crust, Napolean style, interesting specialty pies.Pizza by the slice. Great sandwiches and cannoli also. Beer and Wine. LOVE THIS PLACE!! Dont know why so many bad reviews, not cheap but you get what you pay for.

Perhaps it was the chef, not the recipe, but the price is enough that if my boss hadn't paid for it I never would have tried it, and even still, I was EXTREMELY disapointed in the taste.

They could use a little more cheese, and the pizza is cold very quickly, but it's ok.

over priced and non inspiring

I grew up in New Haven, Connecticut, which Gourmet Magazine calls the birthplace of American pizza. The pizza in New Haven is the best in the world -- and Finelli's is as good or better! Homemade, hand-tossed crust that's crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. And the sauce has that amazing flavor and aftertaste that you just can't get from sauce out of a tin can (like so many other Ellsworth pizza places use -- ugh!). I'll stop now cause I'm beginning to sound like a commercial. Seriously, you gotta try these guys.

Finellis makes great pizza, bar none. They also make great sandwiches, I am addicted to their steak and cheese. Their italian combo on baked-right-there foccacia is the bomb!! The crust is thin and tasty, just the way I like it. The Margherita pizza is great..... I only gave 3 points for ambiance, cause it is not a fancy place in any way shape or form, but the food makes up for it anyways.
