Sea Dog Brewing Company, Bangor

Terrible service. My partner and I were completely ignored, food was cold and pretty bland for the high price. Personally I have had way better.

Had some of the best memories of my life here. One of my favourite places in Maine. It is not dirty at all. LOVE the bartenders!!

This is a fun restaurant. The beer is great and the food is very good also. Situated on the Penobscot River in Bangor it is a pleasant location to eat and you can follow up your meal with a walk along the river.

Beer is great-- the food is terrible. I ordered a rice and chicken dish (chicken mesa) for $16 that was all onions, kidney beans and rice drowned in a tomato sauce with 3 chicken tenders thrown in. I should have had a burger as I'm sure that is the way to go at these "breweries."

I really liked this place (and the bluberry beer is great) but they stop serving food from the main menu at 9pm (even though they are open til 1am). Oh well. Otherwise, it's a great place to eat.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere of this restaurant. I got a burger for lunch, but it was one of the worst burgers I've ever had - I was surprised and disappointed. (The reason I gave the food 3 stars is because the other things my husband & I ate weren't bad like the chili and coleslaw.) The service was ok, but it needed some cleaning, too. The hall to the bathroom smelled like urine, and the womens bathroom had HUGE cobwebs in the top corner of the stall. So did the corners of the restaurant as soon as you walk in the front doorway. That made me wonder how clean the rest of the place was - kind of makes me nervous to go back.

The Blueberry Pale Ale is excellent. Also, the haddock is fresh and tasty anyway they serve it. We ate there twice in a 3 day period. Even bought a shirt as a momento.

The Sea Dog always has good service and great food. I've been there a handful of times and have always had good visits.

I come down to the DOG about once a week and drink a beer and eat supper. I have tried most everything on their menu and I must say it is all VERY tasty. This is one of my absolute favorite places in Bangor!

Bewteen the atmosphere, the great food, the awesome waitstaff, and the knowledgable bar tenders, The Sea Dog Brewing Company is the best place in Bangor to go if you want to escape the average everyday drawl! The only thing I can say about this place is: If I was extremely rich, I would try to buy this business in a heart beat!
