Taste of India, Bangor

What a gem to find in Bangor! For typical small-town Indian food this place is atypical. It's not fancy but what a joy, they know how to make food that tastes good. No mean feat, judging by the failure of so many restaurants. They passed my Samosa litmus with flying colors. Nice flavor. The chicken in the vindaloo could have spent less time on the stove/in the microwave but at least everything was flavored generously. I would be happy to eat here again.

This beautiful cuisine has a great variety of dishes. Tasty food!! Everything tastes very fresh. It is also located in a great area, right in a moderate city! The customers are pleased to come and love the food and service. They have great beverages, like mango laci, which is a sweet and cold mango drink. Also they have awesome lunch buffets where you can try a bit of almost everything for an inexpernsive price! I love eating there...mmmm so good! I'm so glad that there is an Indian Restaurant there, because without it, I probably wouldn't be alive! You should try it as well! The food takes you to a world of luxury.

Do not be apprehensive.. this is actually a really good restaurant. Delicious food!!!!!!

I haven't been there in a while, but I am simply craving some of their food! The curries are creamy, spicy and full of tender chunks of vegetables and /or meats. Order papadums as an appetizer and have fun trying the array of sauces which come with the crunchy delicate crackers. The restaurant is right downton, up the hill from a great bookstore, and downhill from a wonderful Children's Museum, so make time to explore downtown Bangor.

Went for the lunch buffet today. The curry was OK, but every curry we tried was VERY salty... you tasted the salt more than the spices. Maybe things are better when you order from their menu, but we weren't impressed.

The food is outstanding at Taste of India. The staff there is great. The cooks will tailor the food to your likes, they even ask you to pick on a scale of 1 to 10 how hot (spicy) do you want your food. I tryed 8 and love it rate there tryed 5 and it was good but lacking because I was used to 8 then I tryed 10 mistake I cryed for the entire meal and then after I was burning for about 3 hours. If you like peanuts and spices this is the place for you.
